Got a great loophole though - they left the parcel in my porch = no signature ;). How are they gonna charge me for a delivery that they can't prove I've received!! Oooh, I am devious at times :D.

Goods arrived yesterday morning (before the wedding, while I was still in bed with a hangover!) and - to my great surprise - NO CHARGES!! And the quality, hmm, look lovely (Megan Racing decat and downpipes) :). Well pleased so far, I won't hesitate in ordering parts from the US in future. Now then, I just gotta get them fitted. My mate at Kwik Fit owes me a favour......;).

Not received anything as yet, hopefully be here tomorrow (gotta get 'em fitted for the next meet on the). Got a bloody wedding all day tomorrow though, so will have to try and wangle half a day off to get 'em sorted! I will post the duty/charge results when it's here guys. Thankz again :).

:( Man, that really makes you stop and think doesn't it. My thoughts go out to all concerned, although thankfully I haven't had to deal with the pain of anything like this myself to date, I can't imagine what it's like. Not good. Let this be a lesson to us all - life is short so do have fun, but be careful. And make sure that those people in your life that mean something to you, KNOW that they mean something to you. Nope, still can't bring myself to like 'em. My old's like 'em (they've got an FTO at the mo, but want something faster now - 'cos of me :D), but they just haven't got 'that edge' like a Z does, IMO.

Hi peeps, Can anyone help me regarding import duty? I am ordering some parts from the US that cost $129.99 (£68.56), and the 3-5 day tracked shipping costs $165 (£87.04) and I need to work out what other costs will be involved. I have been to the Customs and Excise site, but the .pdf I need won't download. I know some of you guys buy stuff from overseas, so can any of you throw some figures at me? I'd be very grateful :duffer: .

All the little sh*ts in my street love it. There's a guy at the other end of our road that is always doing up one car or another (Vectra/Cavalier - got a Celica at the mo) and he's always racing up and down the street for no reason. The kids asked him if he could beat me, and he said yes. I saw him out on the road a couple of weeks ago - now the kids know I'm the fastest and they keep teasing him!!! Kids, don't ya just love 'em.

Good gag, went down a treat at a mates wedding, you'll probably know it:- Get a load of blank keys from a locksmiths (about 25-25 should do), and secretly hand them out to random ladies before the speeches, also making sure that you give them to a couple of guys too. During the speech, announce that the groom was known to have had an 'active' past, and for the brides sake you would like to ask for all of his ex-partners to hand their keys back to him. Watch the brides face when a stream of women come up to him with keys! Watch how that face changes when the guys get up!!!!! This went down a treat - peoples faces were a picture when 2 guys got up. I think they believed it up to that point!! It's an oldie, but it's gr8 for a laugh.

I used to be an Autoglym faithful, but now it pails in comparison to the current Meguiars range. You pay a bit more for it but, my god, it's worth it. On a sunny day, a black Z polished with their Gold Class paste wax looks the absolute bo**ocks :D. Also offers very high levels of protection, and water runs off well (better than Autoglym I think).

Got home tonight, after a short drive just to run the engine for a bit (first time I've drove her this week!) and noticed when I got home that the spoiler is lifting/peeling just above the lights - it looks like someone has tried to rip it off!! Is this a 'natural' occurrence due to the cold weather (we had it all last night - snow, ice, minus temps) - or should I be worried that someone really is trying to nick it!!! Either way, it looks like I might be getting my new spoiler sooner than planned - so it's not all bad ;).
