  1. 'fraid I can't offer any advice, but can sympathise - I get this noise too, and always have, but don't know what it is. I just boot it past the '0' mark and it goes away :D . I'll be watching this thread with interest...
  2. Careful, I had one of these and it was a right dog. The Rover engine is as weak as a very weak thing, electrics seem to be allergic to regular use, and mine had a built in power shower - well Rover call it a targa roof but mine dribbled away happily all day long!! Having said that, I do love the look of them and it was a quick little beastie - much prefer the Zed tho. If you want one as an every dayer, I would recommend the later spec 1.8vvc. Ok, it's not as quick as the turbo (duh), but it's pretty tuneable, and 1000 times more reliable (nicer interior too).
  3. I'm not allowed to buy it!!! I have bought every release that there has ever been - but now The Handbrake (wife) says that I ought to let someone buy it for me for Christmas 'cos I'm so difficult to buy for! :hyper: CHRISTMAS - FFS, how long has a guy gotta wait!?!? :hyper: Very interesting.......
  4. There has been an undercover green Scooby chase car around these parts (Leicestershire) for some time now and, by all accounts, it's damn quick - caught a few of my mates anyway!! :( Not caught me yet though!! Oh bugger, if that's not tempting fate then I don't know what is - watch this space...
  5. Excellent choice my friend, when I bought I simply said to myself "I want a good looking car" - the Zed wins every time  . As said before, less stress on the engine in an NA, but still good performance and plenty to mod. My best advice would be - subscribe to this forum. Why? Wealth of information, loads of traders/experts to help you spend/save your hard earned cash, good friendly people (made some good friends here) and great fun.
  6. I'm having the exact same problem myself - and I've just registered as a seller to get rid of my motorbike  ! V. annoying, can't get any response from eBay - but will try Skyline Dave's link. I will let you know if I get anywhere Paul.
  7. Oh, your jealousy is becoming tiresome . For a phrase such as 'grey is the new black' or 'brown is the new black' to exist, then black itself is clearly recognised as the superlative colour/shade. I had a red car once - good for hiding rust, and if you can't be ar$ed to keep it clean  .

Ah, the Dyson. It brings it all back.... :D
  9. Been thinking about asking this question m'self apache. I'm currently spinning Evanescence, but have made compilations to suit driving moods: - 'Angry' CD - bands like Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Korn etc. = drive faster :hyper: 'Chillin' CD - bands like Portishead, Staind, recent rock ballads = drive slower  'Rewd Boyz' CD - rap/hip hop like Dizzee Rascal, Jay Z 50 Cent etc. = cruizin with the roof out and shades on  ! I know, I'm a bit of a ponce, but hey - it's not hurting anyone .
  10. Count me in - might even have my new 'zorst by then (finally :hyper: )!!!

Saw some lairy ar$e going sideways near Halfords - think it was a Supra, is that the one you're on about Mickey? ;)
  12. "Awaiting details" is popping up for every item as far as I can see, I don't think that's just him. Mind you, I think my PC has got a hangover too this morning :duffer: so it could just be me.

I've had some of the silicone grease off the guy from eBay (I would give you a link, but I can't find any on there at the mo :() and it works a treat. You just need to figure out where the water is getting through, and bung it full of this grease stuff - works a treat, no drips since ;) .
  14. That would be me I believe Dave, Darkside ARE everywhere :p !! I went there from Stoney Stanton at around 7 last night. Where you from carmek? You coming to the next meeting?

I'll be there, as usual, shiny and clean but still with exhaust made of kitchen roll :( Chunk should be rolling shiny too, I've promised to clean his Z for him today aswell - come on rain!! Hehe, I owe him a :duffer: anyway, perhaps this will settle things ;) Later people.....    :smw:
  16. New auto 'box after 3 weeks, new prop shaft bearing at same time, coil pack connectors shortly after, new exhaust needed... The list goes on, but, I blame the tw*t that sold it to me rather than the car itself ;) Still love it to bits, just makes it easier to relieve myself of hard earned cash. :slap:
  17. Try this :- http://www.ultimatez.com/shop/index.php?shop=1&cat=123&cart=234903 Yes, it's from the states, but it's the real deal - Ultimate Z do the whole '99 spec range.
  18. Whoops! Sorry, I'll step off your toes now
  19. Yeh, 'cos it's not me and Chunk reckons the first half of the plate is the same as me!! I even went lookin' after Rich rang to see if it was me - couldn't find the bugger!!;)
  20. "Don't chase what you can't catch" or "If it's got tits or tyres, it'll cost ya."

Looks like we could be on for a good one this week ;) :D
  22. My standard steering wheel has seen better days, and the 'Nismo' steering wheel cover that I got off eBay looks absolutely poo :( , so I'm looking at aftermarket wheels. :hyper: But, I want to retain the cruise functions somehow - has anybody done this successfully? If so, do you have to relocate the switches/where to/how do you do it etc. Your wisdom is appreciated folks.... ;)
