I thought it was strange that you haven't been online!! You're usually on quite regularly.......... .....or rather, quite a bit........ ........or rather ALL THE FEKKIN' TIME!!!!!! Glad to see your back in business dude :D.
  2. Gutted for ya mate :(. If you get hold of the little ba$tards that did it, nail 'em to the wall and mess with some of their internals

I use a van for work, and the Mrs' Astra for the shopping - other than that, it's the smokey old Z every time ;)

HEY - don't forget it's my birthday today too ;););)
  5. I'll second that - John's car sounds f**king outstanding!!
  6. Afternoon all!! Aw shucks, thanks very much peeps :) 29, going on 16 ;) - so I'm told!!!! Right, where's the bar......... :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:
  7. My Mrs - and this is quite an uncanny resemblence!!!!
  8. Been trying to find an image to overlay - Mx6 is looking favourite so far!!
  9. I've seen this one in my village too - does the number relate to UK speed restriction by any chance?!?! (i.e. 155?) Whoever it is knows my mother-in-laws next door neighbour. If I see him again, I'll have a word ;).
  10. Quality!!
  11. My personal preference would be just to smooth it - perhaps some kind soul would care to do a quick photoshop for you? ;) Chunk, MickeyB - are you there??
  12. I know, but it was some time ago now, and I can't be ar$ed with the hassle. I do seem to have the very rare ability of not getting wound up too easily. The way I see it is that this 'specialist' was getting regular business from me, which would have continued if he hadn't f**ked up like this. So, he lost at the end of the day - I've got a lot of money earmarked for my Zed, and now he's getting none of it  !!
  13. Mmmmmmmm, Optimax, droooooooool. For the Zed, not me, obviously :wack:
  14. Hey, what the hell, I might leave 'em off then!! MPG doesn't seem too bad, pipes go a bit black though - might try resetting the ECU to see if it'll drop the O2 values or something. Hey, almost sounded like I knew what I was talking about then :D:D (I think JD said something like that on Saturday ;))
  15. Smokey and rich, but remarkably smooth at the moment bud. Can missing/knackered O2's cause a bit of smoke then chaps?
  16. No, only found out yesterday afternoon. Really can't be ar$ed with the argument to be honest - so I'll just get some new ones, as and when, and pay someone who REALLY knows Zed's to fit them for me. I can't believe that, in this age of customer service etc., that people can still make a living by bodging jobs and ripping people off :headvswal Must..........not.........swear :x: :x: :x: !!
  17. Without naming any names, 'cos that's not the point, I just wanna warn other less technically minded/mechanically able owners like myself to be very aware of what is actually being done to their pride and joy when it's in a garage. The case in point is this :- I managed to get hold of a set of Megan Racing decats and divorced wastegate downpipes from the states, and had a look at fitting them myself - but took one look underneath and thought better of it. So, I took my Z to a local 'reputable' specialist who duly did the work for me. Firstly, although initially satisfied, I noticed a couple of days later that the whole exhaust system was a bit wonky and was rubbing on the transporter hooks - so that had to be rectified. But, only this weekend, I was having my PCV's changed when it was noticed that one of my O2 sensors wasn't connected. On further inspection - I DIDN'T HAVE ANY O2 SENSORS!! They've mysteriously disappeared!! The downpipes fitted do accept O2's but still have the blanking nuts in. I wouldn't have minded if there was good reason for not refitting them, and I would have paid for new ones if required to, but I was never told anything about them. TBH, if it wasn't pointed out to me by someone who really knows their stuff, I probably would never have known. So, my advice would be to get to know your engine a bit, make sure you use a garage with good forum recommendations, and CHECK EVERYTHING!! It's so 'British' not to pick fault and complain - but sometimes it's necessary!! If you know who you are - :nono: :slap:, no more business for you. Phew, rant over :D.
  18. Just a quickie to say thanks to the genius that is John Dixon, for changing my PCV's for me on Saturday - and disposing of some redundant systems under the bonnet. She ran lovely on the way home, and actually feels a fair bit smoother now :D, still a little smokey at the moment but gotta give her a chance to get rid of any deposits. Thankz again John, I've got a feeling you'll be receiving more of my hard earned cash in the future - did someone say boost controller?!? LOL
  19. Have a nice break away Dave mate, some of my family went to Egypt earlier this year, absolutely loved the place - you should have a good time bud ;). See you in Ironbridge, you lucky barstool :D:D
  20. Tweed or velour for me. I've never liked leather (too cold and shows its age too easily). I would consider a suede or alcantara retrim though........£££ KER'CHING £££!!!
  21. I was thinking Samson and Delilah too. Or what about Reneé and Renata? :D Chaka Demus and Pliers? Charles and Eddy? Oh, this could go on for a while......
  22. Easy now :slap:, this is neither the time nor the place ;).
