A '97 Vauxhall Astra 1.4 hatchback, in 'Old Man' gold. Hardly an enthusiast purchase, but cheap and cheerful :)

I would say it was the gearbox too - we had a '54 plate 325i coupe for a bit, but it had an auto box and it felt PAINFULLY slow, drove a manual version a few weeks later and that was loads of fun :D (not Z fun, but fun anyhoo ;))

Happily married, in our 2nd year now. And it was the wife that convinced me to buy the Z - so naturally it's her fault when it breaks down :D I gotta post this South Park pic again - it's fekkin' uncanny how much it looks like my Mrs....

Sorry, I can't do 'serious' - life's too short. I have read this whole thread but somewhere along the line it got far too deep and statistical to be interesting. So I thought I'd resort to my usual childish behaviour in a vain effort to lighten the mood :D I shan't bother next time :tongue:

Not many PC's on building sites :D I just get home when I've finished the job - some days I'm home before lunch, and daytime TV is crap, that's why I'm online every afternoon!

Blimey, things ain't looking rosey for us lot are they?!? I'm self employed, but contract to one company and they are being a real PITA at the moment, so I'm looking elsewhere for work/employment - trouble is, there is no way I can earn anything like the sort of money I have been earning in another industry, so I'm kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. The upshot of it all is, one job I am looking into involves a lot of driving and the company offer a VERY generous car allowance 'cos the directors are all petrol heads and like their reps to have nice motors (they drive Ferrari's, Bentley's, Lambo's etc.!):D

Congratulations mate, VERY impressive. Definitely something to be proud of, being part of aviation history - and almost worth having kids for just to tell them!!

I gotta say, I think they look great on the red 'un.
