  1. Sounds very interesting. Could well be interested as the journey home is getting darker by the day!
  2. You want to talk to JeffTT. He's the headlight guru.
  3. Tim's in IT I think mate. I doubt labour have impressed him hugely!
  4. I know I'm probably putting my head on the block here but I agree with Hairsy. People may not agree with Glen and Glen may not agree with people but I've got to admit, I also concur with a hell of a lot of things Glen has been saying. When people get slated for saying this though, it discourages anyone from debating on the side of the discussion that's getting all the flack. I know I'm going to regret this 'coz I'll get loads of shit now so I'm going to go and hide.
  5. Nah Dave. It'll handle crap when you take your tyres off it!
  6. I'd say the engine would give one hell of a lot more drag than the transmission components. That's why I mentioned putting the clutch in. Surely this would give just the transmission drag (minus the clutch pressure plate). As always, please note I don't know what I'm talking about!
  7. Nice one! Glad to hear he's ok. Hope everything goes well for him in the future.
  8. Hey! What a man does with his own crown in private is his own business! I'll have you know it was very very grubby and tarnished when Ajay handed it over.
  9. What? No Warren. Thought he'd have been first on your list Nelson mate!
  10. Sorry to hear about your nephew Dave. How old is he now and how's he doing? Hope everything's going ok for him.
  11. Ajay mate, Thanks for the crown. I've now buffed it back up to its former illustrious shine. What do you think?
  12. This sounds really interesting. Can you actually approximate transmission losses with everything still in place on the car? I can imagine on a manual that, with the clutch held in, you could externally accelerate/decelerate the driven wheels and note the resistance. Does this sound plausible?
  13. Seconded! Bloody excellent tyre. Tried them all and these are definately the best.
  14. It might not be quiet for too much longer. Nelson's on about mass again... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=13962 [Edited before Ajay picked me up on my spelling!]
  15. Well you've not been here for a while! We've had to pick on Nelson in your absence! (Only meant in jocularity of course Mr Mainfella).
  16. That's a bit harsh that you couldn't vote in Texas in 1918 Ajay. Doubly so 'coz you'd also be ineligible to vote due to you being female too. ;)
  17. Unfortunately the world has gone mad. Where can we complain about the people who are complaining 'coz I'd like to lodge one please?
  18. The smilies to the left of the "new message" box are very useful and mean you don't have to remember the codes to enter them. Very useful. However, I sometimes find it difficult to remember the "swear codes", e.g., b0llocks, tw4t, ar5e, p1ss, etc. Therefore, can I suggest that another such window to the right of the "new message" box would be of invaluable use. Therefore, on your return, could you please sort this for me Craig as it would help massively. Thanks in advance. ;) Mike (Pedant)
  19. Thanks for the crown Ajay. On close inspection, however, it appears all stained and tarnished. You really haven't been looking after it in your absence have you? :)
