  1. All this talk of convoys has got me going :hyper: How many Thames Valley and surrounding zeds do we have going up to Billing on Saturday morning? Hows about we meet up at Cheivley for a lively dash up the M40? I luuurrrve the smell of Zeds rolling in the morning

Should be a goodun- will be nice to see new faces and the old ones back in their zeds finally. Like your new signiture Sideshow- will you be bringing her to the Reading meet?
  3. Sorry CJ, someone had to do it! Glad to hear your pooches are well cared for.
  4. Anyone got any up-skirt pictures?? ;)
  5. Sat in one of them yesterday, was out with pal getting a pug rad cap and thought I'd check it out. I think it was about 17k with no leather and it didnt do it for me, I guess I was just searching for the t-bar and the power button!
  6. I was up, but no time for zedding- it was pack lunches and making brekky for the monsters, then school run, then sports day, then went to work for a rest and a surf on 300zx And now finally a well earned :duffer:
  7. Are you gonna keep it wrapped up in them warm fluffy towells or fit it to your zed?
  8. Dont touch the sugar mate- it will just make you feel great for a while, then you will sink straight back down and feel twice as crap. Just get as much green salad stuff as you can down ya neck + loads of fruit. Drink plenty of water too. Stick to a green diet and you wont get ill. I'm off for a maccy dee now- Doh! :slap:
  9. Sounds like your ecu is ok- 10 flashes- all clear- looks like you're in the same boat as me, needing a gearbox overhaul
  10. I've heard that the garage next to the Grovsner on Kidmore Rd, Caversham looks at zeds (recommended by jonnyd64). Failing that I can give you a number of a chap near Wantage who looks after a few zeds.
  11. If you had some spy/scumware installed, it may have added in a proxy server. Click Tools, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings and check to see if its put a duff proxy server address in. If so, just untick proxy server and have another go.
  12. Watch out Sideshow with your ickle plate! Shame you got a fine. I got nicked for wrong plates a few years back and they just gave me a 7 day notice to produce evidence that the plates had been corrected.

Yep, my favorite too. Looks a bit like a zed with those lights but 10 times more evil!

Picking up my new tent tomorrow
  15. Me tried that a while back and it was all clear- so I guess mine needs re-conditioning :(

The other day, driving my Dad's Seat Toledo while my zed was off the road, hit a pidgeon at 90mph, left a fair bit of goo on the windscreen, luckily it didnt smash, but got my old ticker beating a bit! I gave the car back to my Dad complete with the goo. Aint I a kind chap!
  18. Yea it was a nice evening last night, left the Abingdon meet at dusk heading back to Reading along the country roads. Very happy indeed until got near Reading and realised why the zed was a bit twitchy- must have had a light drizzle of rain. Was tempted to find a deserted car park, but I guess I'm too old now for that kind of messing about ;)
  19. Mine does this all the time, revs right up to max in 1st and stays there for a second or two (while the other bloke your racing zooms past you) then it snatches like a goodun into 2nd and ya off. If I have done a long motorway thrash then come off at a junc to standstill and pull away again it is even worse. Must be the heat. I have an uprated auto tranny cooler on my wish list currently which I hope will help. Another chap suggests that I get it taken to a gearbox specialist for an overhaul. Will be interested to hear if you guys get it sorted with the change of gearbox ecu. (Never knew they had one!)

Look forward to it. Might just be able to keep up with you guys on the way to the pub now that my car has a little more go in it! :duffer:
  21. Found a few zed vids while trawling the net: http://www.yadamnfool.com/Z_Commercials2.htm Loads here. :D But this has to be my favorite of the lot: http://www.yadamnfool.com/media/Z32_4L.mpeg (10MB, but worth the wait)
  22. Thanks for the link James- they look good. My next project!
  23. Yellow zed going up Ray Mill Rd, Maidenhead- I think it was a girly driving
  24. cheers guys. got the filter off in the end with the wrench, just took about half an hour of faffing around trying to get the thing to grip. I think either the previous one was done up real tight or they didnt put a rim of oil on the seal. I quite like the idea of the wooden ramps- half a scaffold board either side with plenty of supports should do the trick. Not too looking forward to changing the centre propshaft bush- apparantly a bit of pig trying to get the bearing out? Better start it on Sat AM so she's back ready to drive to work on the monday.
  25. Had loads of fun trying to get under the zed at the weekend. No trolley jack so had to use ramps. But there was no way she was going up them without grinding. So had to do a quick whizz round the neighbours collecting various chunks of wood to build up the gradient. Hoping to be a 10 minute job doing the oil and filter, could not shift the dam filter. Had one of them naff halfords chain wrench. Still she's all done now, about 2000 miles overdue! Done me last 2 plugs as well- not as bad a job as I thought. Good feeling having done the work myself. Centre prop bearing next- beware, will be calling one of you guys if it goes pear shaped!
