oh balls- I'm not so bothered about the fine, but if me insurance is invalid, I guess it aint worth risking it. Knowing my luck i would plough into a merc and end up having a 10k bill. So given that- anyone got a mota they can lend/hire cheap for a few weeks? AL :cry:

Anyone know what the fine is for not having road tax? Problem I got is that the a-hole I bought the zed off didnt send the log book off :xxx: :mac1: , so it aint registered to me yet. Wondered why I didnt get the tax reminder. So goes down to get my tax on the 1st with my hard earned cash and told I cant get it and to fill out a form to obtain the reg doc first. Phoned the DVLA and they tell me it will take 4 to 6 weeks and in the meantime, to take the car off the road! Cant do that really as its me daily drive to work. Dont want to have to buy another car just for the sake of buying tax, so think it will be cheaper to risk the fine rather buy another car. Anyone know how your insurance stands if you are not taxed? The law is an ass! Steaming AL :mad:

From the picture she looks an absolute peach. At least you wont have to worry about the body work. Most of the zeds will need a bit of TLC and odd maintenance from time to time. I bought a bit of a dog, but even so, it keeps on chugging and hasnt really cost me too much. Most of the chaps on here will sort you out as and when it goes wrong. Pads have still got a fair bit of meat left on them, but the discs are pretty worn and slightly uneven. Think I better just change discs and pads together, so better get shopping (er...saving).

If you have used adaware or other spyware prog, it may have deleted one of the files. Kazza lite uses a dummy spyware file which is harmless, but adaware thinks its the real file used in kazza normal version. Other than that- re-install

OK, thanks guys. Will have them wheels off on Saturday to see whats really going on and I'm pretty sure those front pads are on the limit. Hope me discs aint foooked. Looking forward to getting some decent braking power. Will be in touch Smithy :)

Think the brakes are on the way out on the zed. OK at low speed, but if I have to use em at high speed, they are less than responsive and dont sound to healthy either. Where is the best place to get a set of pads and what sort of dosh am I looking at. I guess it might be worth me thinking about higher performence if my buget can stretch to it. Thanks in advance AL
