Metalic shearing noise
Whats the cure for a sticking piston? Is it a replacement job or can I strip it down and clean it up?

Metalic shearing noise
Well done Andy/Willie- thanks for that info. The whole brakes thing has been doing my head in for a while now. Brakes are totally sh$te at high speed. Mate checeked em and reckons pads are ok, but disks quite worn. I guess pads at the rear of the disk are gone and are making the noise. Got me carbon kevlar pads to slap on this weekend + me 2nd hand standby discs if all looks bad down there. No rain please this weekend! :D

XP bug patch
I fixed mine by running Adaware from http://www.download.com The fun part was trying to sort it in the 60 odd seconds you get before it re-boots!! So you have to let Adaware find a few things in under the minute, stop it, then delete the shite quickly. And then repeat again until its clean. All good fun!

Metalic shearing noise
 Got a nasty metallic shearing noise coming from driver’s side front wheel (I think). Seems that its one metallic shearing noise per wheel rotation so guess something’s rubbing? Doesn’t sound like the usual squeaky wheel bearing. Brakes are real shite at the mo (coincidental- wasn’t making shearing noise when brakes were shite two weeks a ago), and just got smithy’s pads turn up today so will be fitting at the weekend. Got a spare set of discs just in case (as discs seemed quite worn). Given the above noise, anything else I should check? I don’t think the noise is brake related as it doesn’t change whether I'm braking or not. Cheers AL :)

Hey Welcome to the world of 300zx, thats cool!! You got a nice mota! A few years less than my G plate. Do you work local to Slough West? I flit between Huntercombe Lane and 392 Bath Rd (opp the Esso). Check out the meeting section- usually a monthly at Reading and sometimes a Slough meet. See ya round soon. AL

Kill Bill 2..Anyone seen it?
Looks like I'm the lucky chap then as watched all of it 1 straight into 2 so dont think of it as 2 films, just one long epic story. Ok, so some of it was so far fetched and a little tedious in parts, but I dont watch much telly so a good night in! Got Dodgeball to watch on dvd next- whats that like- any good?

Kill Bill 2..Anyone seen it?
Thought I'd drag this up as up until last night hadnt seen either of them. Managed to get copies of 1 and 2 so sat down to watch Kill Bill last night, enjoyed No.1 so much stuck No.2 straight in after. What a great 4 hours of head chopping, arm slashing eyeball popping, 5 point presure jab heart exploding, UMA mmmm I gotta go get myself some good Japanease Steel and I dont mean the Z ;) But was nice to see the zed in its brief appearance :hyper:

What PISSES you off on the road?
The dilemma of the M4 every day. Do I sit in the BMW lane with all the other BMW's getting mostly undertaken by Astras and lorrys in the nearside lanes. Or do I just do 170 on the hard shoulder!

They're the littlefookers who leave them dohnut rings all over the car park. But I guess they can afford it at £12 per 135 R12 tyre!

Mullered an RX8!!
Your right there! I work for a big american company and they are giving out Rx8's like sweets. All the reps have got em. Personally I dont like the look, they look like an uprated ford focus. Havnt been in one yet so I shouldnt really be passing judgement yet.

Back on the road
and quite amazing what a coat of wax, tyre shine and cockpit shine does too. She looks well tasty, and then I went to clean the zed!

Back on the road
Got my tax finally this morning. Its amazing what a week without the zed does to you. Yesterday I had thoughts of getting shot of it, but having drove the Mazda 323 all week, then jumping in the zed this morning, it felt like I was driving a battering ram with a few rocket boosters on it. Scary sh$t! So my message to you all is when you think your getting fed up with the zed, take it off the road for a week. Then get stuck back in, and feels like the first day you got it all over again. Dont know how some of you go months with em off the road. :) AL (happy once more)

Magic ones I hope. "Jaffa gets to work that day and says: man that was a trippy drive in- there were blue smurfs driving pink supras- they were everywhere! "

Cars and hookers? Eh?
Yea man, the bloke who wrote that is probably still a virgin or gay. Like Sideshow said- I am happy to see both of mans favorite passions together. Wishing I'd gone to Trax now. Got some funny looks in the office when viewing those pics :D

How much fine for no Road Tax?
So the way I see it now is that as long as I inform my insurance company that I not the registered keeper, I should then be insured. But still risk the £1000 fine. They cant back charge me too much as only just run out. The whole thing stinks and I'm pissed that I have the readies to give to the tax man, but he dont want it. This country is fooookd up. Looks like I will be hiring a nissan micra @£117 per week until I get the document. Hopefully the missis will drive that and I can nick her Mazda 323. Still on the good side, I'll probably end up saving a months tax + the fuel on the zed. Probably a good time to take the engine out. If only I had the money  Seriously though- if anyones got a half decent taxed motor and want to charge me less rent than the above- PM me ;)
