Ok for those that are computer technically minded i could do with some help please. I got a SATA 1TB internal hard drive this one https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Hard+Drives/SATA+%28Serial+ATA%29/500GB+to+1TB/1TB+Western+Digital+WD10EARS+Caviar+Green+3.5%22+SATA+II+Hard+Drive+?productId=40315 now i have had some problems installing it. I was running another sata hard drive, an IDE hard drive and a SATA disk drive but my motherboard has 4 SATA ports. So i olugged the new drive into a free SATA port and plugged in the sata power cable too. Booted up and couldnt find the new drive so i remembered that i need to use jumper settings to set it as slave so i did this( after searching google i now know sata drives dont use jumper settings) I then booted and had also removed the sata disk drive and IDE hard drive from the equation. Found out about going into manage devices on the my computer so did this and under storage the new drive was showing as only having 32MB memory. found out about restoring to full capacity, got a program to do this and then all good. Formatted the new drive using quick format and then copied some files onto it. Then had problems with the drive not being found, finally it worked and i started to take the files off as i thought there was a problem with it. On doing this it would stop and then disappear. Now the drive cannot be found and nothing i do brings it back. On booting with it connected the computer does seem to take a while to boot as if it sees it and tries to identify it but cant understand it. In BIOS the drive is not showing up either. Is it now fragged for some reason? Ideas please thanks for reading Marty

if you do find the leak let me know as i had non leaking pipes to take off mine :) Light will come on due to low level of oil

welcome mate Hicas light can be as simple as power steering fluid level as there is a sensor on it Marty

I like the Lexus :) looks very tidy. I think as long as there is paperwork with services carried out for the mileage then it shouldnt be a problem

yes i understand all those points and when i bought mine a couple of years ago tbh i think i payed more than i should off for the condition however now it seems people are wanting more and more for their zeds even off the forums which can only suggest that they are being valued more now :) Good news for us i suppose however id rather hold onto mine :)

Has anyone else noticed that zed prices seem to be on the way up? Just in general now i have been looking around the prices have gone up since i bought mine 2 years ago. Now there does seem to be a few bogus people that believe an automatic is worth 7k or that their engine might be producing 800bhp which looks good in theory but even the worst off zeds people are looking for higher prices. I think some of them need a reality check or at least join a forum and find out really what it is worth Marty

Just rang the guy what an idiot doesnt sound like hes a dealer just some kid who couldnt get insured and the tax ran out. Says hes had 35 callers about it. It only went on PH today and he said that its half the price what it should be so i said well why is that whats wrong with it `oh i bought it cheap so im selling it cheap` is what he said. Some northern plonkers about. Oh and insurance company wouldnt have it that Jane`s swb is a manual non turbo they couldnt even find it on the reg due to being an import then said its a group 31 car??? More plonkers

Ah hes in Camborne but the fool says he may have a buyer now grrrr some people look Sorry Mate Looks like I've got a buyer - he's coming to look at it and hopefully buy on Thursday or Friday of this week. Will let you know if he doesn't have it. I'm in Camborne, TR14 7RZ I don't know what category write off it was - log book just says 'substantially repaired and/or damaged; identity checked on 12/08/10. Just seen a lovely RX7 damn i like those cars and i know about the rebuild every 40-60k miles but what a great looking car. Checked out details on MPG as well 300zx manual 17.1 RX7 15.4 TBH i already spend alot on fuel with having the zed and then the GTO so i dont think it is really an issue for me as i already budget for it and use the train if i go long journey. Last time i checked i think you was out of my price range :( I think scooby got really common during the late 90s and due to that put me off for life. I think skylines are a rare car to see on the roads along with the zed. Yeah already got the TT LWB as my project hence why i thought. It seems the price on zeds is on the up as well. I have seen a swb that needs a couple of bits doin and its a NA so im not too sure Also a slicktop TT going that needs a little bit doin to it ah i dont know

Just shook hands on a deal for my GTO £2095 now i have been looking at a few other possibilities and would like the forums views. Nowi cant see me driving around in a 1.1 fiesta as thats just not me. I have my zed that im building big spec but that is going to take some time and im quite happy to take it nice and slow to get it right. Ok then choices in the poll what do you reckon folks? Marty
