  1. you gotta do that you need to heat up the centre panel to split it and then fit in a EL light panel and wire it in :)
  2. yep id need a fog light for MOT but other than that are my costs above all there is?
  3. Where is best place to hire a van? ive been searching around as i need a van for saturday however the firms ive tried either said its a minimum of 2 days or they are not open sunday to return the van and i would then be charged 2 days. Cheapest ive got is £80 so far for saturday to monday. I need to pick it up near Cambridge or have it delivered to me :) Cheers folks Marty
  4. Ah about time :) you can swap the engines now. Ill be up saturday Baz with a van ;)
  5. shipping varies all the time from company to company you just have to ask and ship around :cool3:
  6. I am fitting a Ashspec fan with a revotec fan controller. Not a cheap kit but i think the viscous is a dated system and takes up far too much room. Having seen Lukes car recently i think its looks a hell of alot better without if you are going for a tidy engine bay. I know there was alot of cheap kits made after Ashspec made theirs and i know they can not handle the job but with a bigger Koyo radiator and proper air flow to it i will not get any issues with cooling. I know alot of people rave about the viscous and love it im just not one of them.
  7. I love that zed! :) NOT!
  8. by the looks of it yes  http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=147759
  9. Nissan put all these systems on because it is systems they already had like the numerous other systems that can be deleted as are not needed it just bumped the price up in the end. Like everyones favorite the viscous fan in the 80s when the zed was designed that is all they had so that is what they used. All this talk about electric fans are no good is nonsense imo and people forget how old the cars are and what technology was around then. As for Hicas bin it it makes the rear end float about imo and i just dont like that. I have the proper kit for sale also that deletes the Hicas arms as well which cause the rear end wobble when they becomes worn. Alot of the cheap kits do not delete these arms
  10. aint a clue speak to him
  11. Ok folks it is something i have looked into in the past and just wanted to get my figures right so if i miss anything please let me know. So the costs of importing a used car is below what i believe it all is price of the car any admin fees to make the transaction shipping cost had a quote of £500 from Japan MOT test Tax and is that it? From what i read VAT and import tax wouldnt have to be paid on a old used car. anything ive missed? Marty

  16. once its out my garage and given her a wash i will put up some pics with the new wheels on as well. i have got series 2 velour seats to go in and im putting Bobgenies engine in it as the engine needing changing due to low compression
  17. If you ever thought about rebuilding your turbos yourself you need them balancing this will explain all. I have spoke to Turbo Technics before and they are £45 per hour normally balancing turbos within an hour however they will not just just balance any turbos you turn up with as they want to protect their machines from contamination :)
