Certain fact i have to continue to reiterate you asked me to confirm address, i asked for a refund, you then sent the parts to an address that you was unsure of. Parts paid for 8th June and by this point were all off the car as pics had been taken and still as of today no parts received. That is 44 days of money being in your possesion along with the parts also. In many ways this is considered as theft. I think i have been more than lenient in this case. What i consider to be the case is that as soon as i asked for a refund the parts were sent did it really need to come to that to get you to act. I can send parts quicker from Afghan than you can from the UK! You should not have to be chasing people up once payment has been made. I feel like i am stating facts that i have already stated. If the parcel has been sent then what is the tracking details and is it insured as i would hate for it to go missing and create another ordeal.

Are you saying that you get cash from your wife Smithy :laugh: However a template with pics would make it far better. It was a suspension arm that i was waiting on pics for as i wanted tro check to see the make and that the bushes were in good condition as the price was around 75% of a new one so for that had to be in good shape to commit.

I would like to say im not looking to defend my position in this matter as i dont feel i have to and what is stated at the start is fact and however you wish to look at the facts is your decision. But as said above the only person that is out of pocket here is me and the seller can still sell the items to someone else as i have no doubt they would sell and actually that was stated in a recent PM that i would be refunded and the parts would be relisted the next day that being today. It is interesting though that with a parcel2go ref numbber you can find out all the details of when it was booked, when it was collected and so on.

sorry just the way that you worded it suggested that due to me being out of the country my communication was bad `It looks like its half a dozen of one, half a dozen of the other, mixed in with communication issues because the seller was busy and you were out the country.` The parts have still not arrived though and i have not been sent any tracking number to suggest they have been sent. After this long i doubt they have still. The address i supplied at the time would have been fine as that was 2 months ago but yes as you say i am away so i do not collect my mail and was only when i checked and found that that nothing had arrived did i chase it up and then ask for a refund which brings me onto this week. Frankly i thought the parts would had arrived before when i was told they were sent so had no need to alter my delivery address due to this. However once i found that they still had not been sent, asked to confirm address and then asked for a refund yes the address needed to be amended as it was 2 months too late and i didnt expect them to be sent when he was asking me to confim me address so didnt see the issue. However Ian how would you suggest i go about getting a refund as i clearly do not want to do business with this person anymore. If the answer is that the parts have been sent and thats that then i should be able to name the person as the deal would have been finished but a horrific tale in the process that shouldnt happen.

Seems good value however i would find someone that has one of these. If poorly made could cause all sorts of issues. Could be a case of buy cheap buy twice

Firstly i never said that my communication has been bad and it hasnt been with my replying within 24 hours of any message even with me being away in a place with far less technology. Second even if i did confirm the address it would not have been read as the parts were sent on the address that had been supplied nearly 2 months ago and this shows as the message saying just refund me was not read so he did not even wait for me to confirm address. I hope these 2 points clear up the points that you have raised.

I see where you are coming from however i must have worded it wrong because i still do not have the parts and they have been sent to an address that was provided over a month ago which now is not somewhere i can collect mail from. I was hoping by putting down the facts here that a result could be reached alot quicker as i am away so i dont want this dragging on anymore. Having lost total confidence in the seller i would not be able to even check the parts as im not home which is now something that i would certainly want to do now. That is part of the reason a refund was requested before the parts were sent.

Oh the little sensor by the battery i presume you are talking about? That is for the fuel PVRV i think is the abbreviation. Is also in the left wing and can be deleted too with the vac hoses on the plenum being routed together. The AIV in the passenger wing only has 1 vac line that runs all the way across the back of the engine to join the one on the drvs side. Little pot thing in the passenger wing is the fuel PVRV that can be deleted along with the sensor i think you are talking about which is identical to the EGR and AIV ones by the small fuse box. If im way off then i dont know what you are talking about without pics. Hopefully this helps and you can rep me up all you like :D

Over the last couple of months i have had an ordeal trying to buy parts from a member on here. As i am currently away when i am told that parts have been sent and i check home to find nothing has arrived it worries me. This is a combination of bad salesmanship, bad communication via PM and just bad manners. It all started out on the 20th March and the chronological list of events is below as i feel it should serve as a heads up to others to be aware even long standing members can be poor at selling parts. 20th March parts listed and i snap up on the parts the same day pending pics and confirmation of which rear traction arms they are (I would not buy without pics as i like to see what i am getting) As these parts are suspension and engine they will take time to get off which i am happy to wait. 23rd March i confirm that i am waiting on pics before i will commit. 24th March pics listed of 50% of the parts will still wait on the others Around 21st April pics finally arrive of everything and i confirm that i will have them. At this point i am away in Afghan so i say that when i can get onto a computer that doesnt block internet banking i will make the transfer. Seller is happy with this. 8th June £180 paid via bank transfer and address setails sent. 21 June £120 paid for another part that i will pick up in November due to size. Again paid by bank transfer being very trusting to someone ive never met. 5th July i receive this: Hi Mate Sorry they havent I had completely forgotten as its all round my mums ready sorry fella will get it boxed tonight and courier booked. Ill pm you the tracking mumber tomoz mate. Great i think parts will be delivered in a couple of days then. I will now be issuing a refund on wednesday for the bootlid. feel free to take it to the mods, i have a good history on here and all the mods have my contact number if they wish to chat some of them still owe me money as im that nice i let them have parts without paying up front to help them fix there cars. frankly I do not see the problem, if you are away its not like you will be fitting the parts straight away is it. Thats for the indiglow instrument dash gauges. Can be green or blue and then the dimmer control. I had them on mine stuck with blue all the time

11cm is a fair distance to make up auto and manual ones are differnet size too

the only drama woukld be if you needed to change a fuse would be a pain. However i will look at putting it somewhere else. I cant see an issue of it getting wet there though

Nope i use that for other stuff and would be mental to extend that many wires. It has been moved under the headlight panel before and down by the left IC when using a FMIC but you need to start extending wires. As for lights well the looms tuck away nicely when you have HIDs. This was attempt one anyway as the car is now stripped and everything will be moved to hide away all the wires

it can all go other places. Mine here. PS pump up by small fuse box. No HICAS as NA subframe. Clutch bleed deleted for one SS pipe. large fuse box down where air con pump was. all done with engine in. Engine is now out so i plan on moving 90% of the engine bay

As Gary said check sills and arches and give them a tap to see if they have been filled. Sadly UK specs tend to have a greater amount of rust on them not many good ones still about.

Have you looked at other parts that could cause a piston fry. Injector, tuning and so on. It is easy enough to find a problem and assume this caused everything however if you do rebuild this engine and use the same parts then it would not be good to get exactly the same fault later on down the line. From what i remember you had boosting issues and suspected the BC was at fault well i think you have found what was causing that fault. As for piston fry i would have a serious look and test of other components to see where best to spend your money on.

I think TD have been very understanding and the repair of the turbos under warranty is very good of them albeit what the warranty is there for. As for them picking up the cost of a engine rebuild i would say highly unlikely. There is various factors that they can use if legal proceedings were introduced and i hope their name is not tarnished in this pursuit having used them myself before.

I have considered making mine own as i may need a custom thing anyway with a fuel flap in there so will see. I dont think it is hard to do though and then custom fit whatever vents you wish. My short stumpy zed will be going quite wide as well :D we shall see just how wide i can get no ones done 13s on the rear right?

Ok so i remember seeing somewhere for sale fibreglass inserts for the rear quarter windows but cant find it in my links anyone remember where? I would say US, Canada or Australia as they aint gonna be over here. Also in my search came across the SPL carbon fibre bodykit and hadnt seen it before. Ah yes i see that part. Well if the US spec ones pass then im taking my zed to zedworld for MOT :D It was just the fact that the wings im getting dont come with holes and didnt want to cut some in if not needed which maybe are not. If they are then ill cross that bridge when i come to it :D
