Went to see an old Zed today thats breaking for spares. Its an 89, N/A Auto, standard wheels etc. Full car is complete, but wont start. Previous owner has removed a cam cover to check if the belt was broken. Belt seems ok, but seems to be turning over too easily. Sounds as if there is no, or very little compression. Didnt have time to do a compression test. Any ways, I assume the engine is shot, and as such, there is no way to check on the condition of the gearbox. Owner says it was driving fine, but he would ? :smw: Is it worth buying to break ?? Not looking to make a fortune, but every little helps !! Got a place to store it, and the required tools etc to carry out such a task. Nice cans on the rear, venom wings, big spoiler etc, so someone loved it once ! :confused: Any thoughts ?? Standard front bumper is coming off my T/T, auto shortly to be replaced with something a little bit better looking ! :cool: Anything else I should attend to, or reach easier, while its off ? Ideal chance to strip and clean the headlights I suppose ! All suggestions welcome. Alan...........
