Why must it be a bank mate ?? Closed my Royal Bank Of Scotland account due to it being totally unreasonable and moved the lot to the Abbey, Building Society. They do all my Direct Debits, Mortgage, Switch card etc etc. Even do a split account. When the wages go in, a set amount is automatically transferred from my Current Account to my Savings Account. You can do it with t`internet and alter amounts as and when. Both accounts are available through the hole in the wall machines at the touch of a button. Just a thought. Alan.........

Got myself another Zed last week and most of you were agreed on the one thing ! Sort out the wheels !! ;) Cant spend any more so close to Xmas, or the better half would shoot me. I attended the classic car show at Chatlerhault Country Park in Hamilton this year yet again. 2 fields on show, 1 for classics and 1 for the Max Power lads. The guy I sold my last Zed too, took it to the classic field. Only Zed there. Some of the looks and attention it got was incredible. Would be good with a few Zeds as they can organise a club stand. Also a lot of old British, American, Harleys etc etc as well. Well organised and again, if the weather holds, it is a good show. See photo of the show field for classics a few years ago. This years show was almost double that size !! Normally the 2nd or 3rd week in August. Alan..........

Didnt say we were a catholic country mate ! :tongue: I am Scottish, although still British. Point I was making was, a resident of this country was being asked, or told to do something to avoid "possibly" offending somebody of another race or country. They werent shown the same respect back. P.C. correct or not ?? Also, and I take it I am not alone in my feelings on this, we must be one of the most tolerant countries in the world to immigrants, or people seeking asylum. Why should we alter traditions, customs, way of life etc, etc I went on Holiday to Turkey this year, and attemted my best to converse in the local language. One local style bar we went to, we were required to remove footwear which we quite happily done. "When in Rome" or something like that ! ;) Every bodys opinion is different though. In my opinion, theres nothing "funny" about being proud of our country, whether you are Catholic, Protestant, Non Denominational or even the same as my mate Afran. A Scottish born guy from Indian background. Still supports his team, Glasgow Rangers, still practises his Indian Religion but is very much in support of Britian as he considers it his home !! :bow: (drives a poopra tho !) ;) Alan.....

Good news mate !! :) Nowt wrong with working outside. I do 24hr call out every 2nd week and it is second nature now to get out me bed at 2.30 am and drive whatever miles, to repair a vehicle thats fooked. If you havent done it for a while tho, would recommend a tube of Nuetragena. Not poofy, but is brilliant for keeping those baby soft hands like new !! ;) Trust me. Alan....

Its not very often I get irate about stuff, normally quite laidback, but they were discussing an article on the radio today, about a schoolkid who was suspended from school for refusing to remove a crucifix and chain around their neck. Apparently the reason was it could offend people of another faith ! :confused: Other children in the class from a different country and background were allowed to keep wearing some sort of bangle, as it is part of their religion and culture. When the kid pointed this out, and said that if they had to remove their religous jewellery, it was only fair for everybody to abide by the same rules, she was suspended !!! :eek: What is this country coming too ??? Was sent this a couple of days ago. Food for thought perhaps ?? Story in a National Newspaper : Will we still be the Country of choice and still be Gt Britain if we continue to make the changes forced on us by the people from other countries that came to live in Britain because it is their Country of Choice?????? Think about it . . All I have to say is, when will they do something about MY RIGHTS? I celebrate Christmas, but because it isn't celebrated by everyone, we can no longer say Merry Christmas. Now it has to be Season's Greetings. It's not Christmas holiday, it's Winter Break. Isn't it amazing how this winter break ALWAYS occurs over the Christmas holiday? We've gone so far the other way, bent over backwards to not offend anyone, that I am now being offended. But it seems that no one has a problem with that. This says it all! This is an editorial written by a British citizen, published in a National newspaper He did quite a job; didn't he? Read on, please! IMMIGRANTS, NOT BRITS MUST ADAPT. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on the 7th of the 7th we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Brits. However, the disgust about the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct! " crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to Britain, Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. (The Danes, Romans etc.) However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of the Brits being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Britain's we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak ENGLISH and GAELIC, not Indian, Urdu, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language Therefore, if you wish to Become part of our society, learn the language! "Land of Hope & Glory" is our motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. If the Union flag or the cross of St George ,St Andrew St Patrick or St David offends you, or you don't like our QUEEN, then you should Seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and haven no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our Laws give every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so! But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our lifestyle our government, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great BRITISH freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE !!!
