  2. smithy as far as im aware does all this give him a shout
  3. lol oh dear, and at the same time gave it a de-cat :wack:
  4. yep pre-cat is passenger side as you say removing the brake master cylinder helps, ut you can go full hog and remove braker servo gives even more space to move secondly the driverside as you say is a PITA and you sometimes find 1 bolt breaks from the top, so best thing to do is turn it out slightly then back in and so on and so fourth. you can remove the heatshield but it can be long winded, but is doable you need to break the top 10mm bolt with a metal chisel, it means you can just get a 13mm deep socket on to it and have a slight leverage on turning good luck, failing that just take the engine out, its then real easy PMSL

  11. there are a couple of differances ie the heating control cluster is differant on a series 2 so will be the wireing, but im sure theres a way around it, most of the rest should be the same i take it your cutting most of it out and resplicing or just going for the whole loom?

as one of my front teeth are chipped :x: :D
  19. were they stock nissan shocks and springs? and not cheap to do all the bushings etc, give ryan a bell mate on that one  bumping not being funny but are sure everything went back in same order and all top strut mounts are tight, a knocking is often where the top mounts are not tight, and what happens is any pothole or uneven ground causes the shocks to move and on rebound make that knocking sound, best double check all of it :wack: greg
  20. hi chaz, it can be a PITA first time you do it! as for gaskets problem you have is the top mount sits to to the struts bare metal possible reason for the creek, however most of the time its not casued by this, get under car and move all the suspension, find the squick and spray with some wd-40 or similar its probably a dry bush somwhere, once lubed it should quiten down
