  3. same engine as in my car the good old sr20det ;)
  4. nah me neither il be over yours bud :D
  5. 6-10 hours from block to finish, but im far to lazy and slow to do it in that time, i normally spend half the day with stuff in the parts washer cleaning, but if everything was laid out in order like above 6hours sounds reasonable
  6. :D  forgive pete, he runs/ownes manages a pharmacist, i think he has breathed in all that tablet dust and turned burty before time
  7. like you say its not difficult although on your own its awkward with a jack and a good balance to get it up in to position :smash:
  8. iv always been under the ilusion, that it could be due to line pressure in the autobox, and under sudden braking the car can cut out, although its not tested, the autobox being a complicated transmission has its ill effects, im not experianced in autos, as to me its one of them you either work on transmissions only or not. i would check trans fluid levels though.
  9. a day, if everything is needed, but theres always something that holds it up, every component they have used looks like its out of a box :p thats half a z32 engine anyhow.
  10. when vinz has finsished doing his car up, he will then move on to this  stella looks nice mate, i need to get some more work done! :D
  11. nicely done, one of the best improvements is to tighten up the rear, nowt worse than a floaty, wobbly rear, no sexual comments ment there :smash:
  12. make sure you wear some safety if someones shagging you up :D
  13. very good results, if it was under 140 then its showing signs of wear, under 100 lol well that says it all
  14. easy! :smash: did i slag them off  lets see your t-shirt then, that was NA class correct :D
  15. speeded up and being picky i never seen them place nuts and washers on the manifold, he put it on and got is spanner on it straight away  alot of editing, cool all the same though.
  16. tbh anyone with a slicktop is going to say there better! and in truth they probably are, if i was offered one, it would stripped out and tuned to death :D if i had any money
  17. dont do the heads in situ FFS pull the engine out, you will be ****ing about for ages, in which time you could of pulled the engine rebuilt the heads and got it back in b4 you even got the heads out of the engine bay. :smash: ;)
  18. leave the gearbox in, just remove all the bolts around the bellhousing, problem with pulling the box with engine is the length, its to awkward, thats the only thing i go against TT.net auto or manual? if its auto you need to remove the torque convertor bolts 4 14mm bolts that hold the engine/ringear/torque convertor together dont forget to do that otherwise you will end up with 5lts of transmisson fluid on your drive, misses will love you. follow the guide but ignore propshaft disconection, and undo all the bolts around the gearbox. You will need to drop the crossmember and pull of the steering UJ
  19. ok :p couldnt even catch you out on that :D
  20. unless you have removed the waterpump and thermostat then you will still have up to 5litrs still in the engine of old coolant. with waterpump and thermostat removed you would need to top up with approx 10litres if you have just removed the rad then 5litres will be all you need. and yes 50/50 mix is perfect, the amount of engines iv seen with no coolant is shocking, can only imagine what an engine looks like internally with pics like this :smash:
  21. actually forget what i said, to do that you would need a Non turbo clutch pedal, just do what lymon says, but TBH removing the intake manifold for the clutch assistance is not really worth it as it weighs about 1kg to add the clutch booster connection is below the master cylinder not above
  22. or if you want a nice heavy clutch with no servo assistance, remove the booster from behind the clutch pedal, although for 3kgs of weight saving its a lot of hassle, You will have a very big strong leg after a while, and in traffic its an arse, however hard you are ! ;)
  23. ok being a cheapskate i would go for the modena 360 in red, best looking IMO
  24. yeh same as, iv only just woke up, and in the process missed my dentist appointment! maybe its a blessing in disguise
