if there competant to rebuild the engine then they should know what a MAF is,could be many things ptu cas maf dirty connectors ecu leaking injector o-rings,normally accompanied by strong fuel smell and smoke from exhausts,also may put a cylinder down,and run lumpy fuel pump ecu if they know what there doing then they should sort it :smash:

if the manual conversion had no shortcuts then it should have the extra bleed line running up by the PS pot,if this has been braised blocked off then slave and master cylinder only

doubt its base idle do a general cleanup of the main connections check for any air leaks 1st normal a hunting or rising idle is an air leak check hoses for splits or generally loose hoses around the engine bay

redline same with any aftermarket gear oils are all good and well,but over time they are harsher on the syncros and more than anything just prolongs the damage but £80 sounds alot but its a lot cheaper than a recon box costing around £800+

i might be wrong as i dont even know what engine your on about,but i think a v8 4.6 TT will struggle to fit,then theres the engine mounts

think you need about £80 worth depends size of bottle

No but it gets to serious,there is no better option,unless you stand next to a dyno and swap from SM to FM and do 2runs,even then it will be inconclusive,as every dyno run will be differant,charge temps etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc FM are for show :smash: SM for a pro :cool: so there you go love you eggy :xxx: :tongue:

remember if tyou have cleaned throttle bodies and other components,it will take a couple hundred miles for the ECU to learn the new readings etc have you ajusted the base idle,using the ajuster screw in the side of the IAA unit?although thats a high rpm,that would take a lot of ajustment to bring it down,does the rpm not settle even when warm, if you have problems with the IAA unit Idle Air Regulator (IAR).IAA This valve lives on the the intake manifold, above the passenger-side Its temperature sensitive open when cold, closed when hot. That makes the car idle higher when it's warming up,cleaning of the yellow and blue connectors at the back of the iaa unit may help

your all tossers and SM intercoolers are better so there !! :smash: on our v6 its 2turbos 2heads and ummmm oh yeah 2intercoolers feeding 2 engines :tongue: FMIC are seen on such cars like evos etc becauses its designed to its a single throttle straight inline 4cylinder,so why the fook would you fit SMs PMSL,
