yeh 1hose run it through mount gauge,at best the garage should of charged 1hour labour max
  5. well you got the bypass info,im sure manta will give you a hand as for smoke when warm and at idle, might be worth doing the pcvs&related hoses, could be just oil getting back in to the intake, then go from there ;)

    20min job boost gauge
  7. boldy if you have a leak from under plenum/throttle body,a turbo bypass, will fix the leak and bypass all the under plenum feeds!not to bad a job as for smoke is it from cold idle/under load or backing off?
  8. its possible one of the cam cap bolts have worked loose causing a slight rattle,as there only torqued up lightly in rare instances they can become loose,or just a sticky lifter

    thatl be quick then pmsl
  10. normally the uj which connects to the rack,10 min job to change, and easy to check if yours is suspect,Check for excessive play on uj,have someone move wheel whilst you check,if theres play replace
  11. no not you lol na kins does hence why i highlighted his text in bold ;)
  12. he means crank sprocket not pulley as lymon says, the problem is when water runs down there from a leak or waterpump/thermostat removal it sticks the sprocket on,air cutting tool and chisel it off is the only way im afraid then when you fit a new one apply some lithium or copper grease so if you need to remove it in the future,it will come off fine
  13. you need to ring ryan ;) and as for dirty coolant, its no good cleaning the rad out as all that dirty rusty water will be running through your block/heads and water pipes, you need a proper coolant flush using an inhibitor, what will happen if you just clean the rad and top up with fresh coolant is 10miles later the water will be brown,so attach water hose to upper intake pipe with rad out and flush through. and clean the rad out properly until it runs clean
  14. hi mate,il let you know tomorow,as ryan is v.busy il repost it here again with the answer ;)

  16. best=presence especially when modded with strosek and 99spec parts ;) worst=how the wipers swipe twice when you turn them off and smear your screen, over engineered depends if you see that as a good thing, overweight :smw:
  17. no ;) gearbox oil is seperate to engine it could be you have dripped oil on to hot exhaust and its burning off,if the smoke is blue/oily smell then it will be engine related ;)
  18. hi,series 2 ptu is the same for NA or TT nissan dont sell series 1 anymore, due to them being inferior to series 2 and your looking at around £120 at best for a new one. HTH greg
  19. you could of contacted an aircon specialist, they would make a hose up on site for you,as they use high pressure hosing for aircon etc, just for future referance ;)
  20. happy birthday to you both :D
  21. yeh anyone for pork roll :nelson:
  22. the lower uj is coming of age now, alot of them are wearing out and could do with a replacement, not something you want to scrimp on when it involves steering all IMO of course
  23. mines bigger ask your misses
