  1. precisely, aslong as turbos are getting vital oil, then coolant is not a problem,if you lived in a hot country then i guess it would be more important.

works well to,id advise replacing the oil after a couple of hours of the atf in there, its known to eat seals not the wildlife variety ;)
  3. i know a few people with upgrades braze off the feeds to the turbos so they dont have coolant going to them all toghether
  4. passenger side turbo is easy enough to do in situ
  5. not really bud,the problem is on the driverside is getting to the turbo to manifold nuts, and making sure everything else is connected tightly back up,you would probably need to weld about 4 13mm spanners together at funny angles to reach them all
  6. f1 bores me,id rather watch paint dry :headvswal give me motocross, rally, superbikes, drag racing then thats a new ball game
  7. you can remove rods and pistons from underneath, but you wont be reffiting them in a hurry :D you can do bearings, crank&oil pump in situ though
  8. also alot easier to slide out past the exhaust with the heatshield removed
  9. if its a bottom end knock from the main or rod bearings then no matter how many times you change the oil it will remain knocky only cure is replacement bearings,if its a topend tap then it may well be lack of oil to the topend due to oil starvation or sticky lifter which isent un-common normally the only way the bottom end will knock if it has be ran low of oil as the bearings are constantly in contact with oil during crank rotation sounds like you have run low on oil in the past and there is no return unfortunatly, once bearings ware they cant repair themselfs HTH greg
  10. azev Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ;)
  11. the problem with headbolts is if they have been removed with the wrong tool,it can round the allen key type fitment therefor leaving you in a bad situation when it rounds completly, just clean them up and reuse them
  12. i was on my motocross bike yesterday, riding up to a dirttrack and some dopey fooker pulled out on me,sometimes drivers need to look where there going aswell, hope it gets fixed ok!

  17. nice one karly, more to add to the clan, :p see ya soon bud greg kath and kids
  18. dont scrimp on 2nd hand matrix FFS the labour involved is not worth the risk,if you have an auto then 3hours labour from start to finish is adequate,if you have a manual then removal of the clutch pedal/booster is needed!
  19. could possibly be a sticky wastegate, keep an eye otherwise if it does stay open completly it will boost until infinity and wont do the turbos any good :nelson:
  20. happy birthday john
