300ZX.CO.UK Car of the Month & On-Line Car of the Year Competitions
To enter the competition, simply post some pictures of your zed into the comp thread and tell us a bit about it. Only the first six entrants each month will be entered into the comp so be quick.
The COTM Competition will run from the beginning of January to the end of November each year. December will be when COTM monthly winners will compete in the On-Line Car of the Year Poll.
Below are the rules and how the competition will be run. These are subject to change but notice of any change will be given beforehand.
Rules:
1… Only subscribed members and above are eligible to enter.
2… The poll will be public with voters ID’s hidden.
3… All members from Committee to Registered can vote in the open poll, including the the person running the competition.
4… You can only vote once in each Poll
5…The poll results are final and cannot be changed.
6… Monthly winners will be entered into the overall On-line zed of the year competition.
7… All timings are based on the Forum Clock ONLY.
8... In the event of a draw in either the Monthly or the Finals, the entrants with the same amount of votes will be entered in to a Face Off Poll, all members will be eligible to vote in this poll.
9... All successful monthly entrants, excluding the winner will not be eligible to enter the following months competition. Each monthly winner will not be eligible to enter the competition again that year.
10... All type's of Nissan Z cars are eligible for entry as long as you currently own it.
11... No more than 10 pictures or two posts can be made by each entrant. Any that go over this will not be added to the poll.
12... All pictures must be stored on the club servers via the Manage Attachments option when creating the thread. This is to avoid pictures disappearing from external host sites.
How the comp will be run:
On the first of each month a thread will be opened in the Club Competition forum. Subscribed members will then be able to post up a few pictures of their car and a small description of it.
The thread will remain open until there are 6 entries OR until midnight of the 14th of that month which ever comes first. Any entrants posted after this time will be excluded. If it happens that the sixth and seventh entries are posted at the SAME time then they will both be included in the Poll. If there are less than six entrants after this 14 day period, they will be entered and the competition will run. In the event that there is only 1 entry after the shut off date then the COTM will not be run for that month and that entrant will rolled over to the next months competition as an addition. This will not affect the number of people that can still enter.
On or about the 15th of each month, the entrants will be added to a poll thread in the Birthdays & Announcements section of the Public forum
The poll thread will be open until midnight of the last day of that month.
Monthly Winners will be PM’d asking which photo of their car they would like on the banner. The picture will then be added to the banner along with the members ID and caption “Car of the Month” until replaced by the following month’s winner.
On-line Zed of the year;
This Competition will be run in December each year.
All that years COTM winners will be added to a thread which will be opened as a public poll on the 1st of December. The poll will run until midnight on the 31st December. The winner will have their picture, ID and caption “On-line Car of the Year 201#” on the banner until replaced by January’s monthly winner. They will also have it mentioned in their profile. The winner will then be sent their prize (TBA)
At this time all previous winners will again be eligible to enter the COTM from January the next year.
