It's all over the news mate. I think it's a terrible idea to bring it over here. People have died in the States at these sales. Just smacks of greed over responsibility to me.

You may be lucky and have the loom for the seats installed. It'll be under the seat if so. If your car has always had manual seats though you might not have the loom. I didn't in my 93 UK so I had to wire it in myself. Relatively easy to do, you just need an earth and a 12v fused supply that is rated for 30A. All the controls are done by the seat so you just provide power. HTH
