  1. Yes mate! lol Thanks for that folks, i'll be walking away then.
  2. I'm looking at buying a UK zed but it has some rust issues. Are these fixable? If so roughly how much would I be looking at to get it all fixed? Or should I just walk away? As always any advice is appreciated. Cheers Dave
  3. Yeah, alright I may have done option b, quickly followed by option a :D but I am looking at getting another one! lol. Forgot to say - I'm here to STAY!!!
  4. Sorry to hear that mate! As you said tho' at least you've got work.
  5. Cool mate, what sort of power are you expecting with the new manifolds and turbo?
  6. First off all GSi's are done by MSD, they started life as an SRi then went to MSD to have 3.0L cams put in. Don't let anybody tell you it's a special edition GSi, cos there aren't any! Power wise, the standard Vectra 2.5v6 (SRi, ST etc.) had 167bhp don't know the torque but the GSi has 192bhp and around 180/190lb/ft torque. All V6 vectra's suffer from hot air getting into the air filter. There's a mod you can do called the 3 pipe mod. Basically open up the air filter and cut down the length of pipe going into the box (leave about 1" to 2"). There are two other pipes that connect to the one going into the filter, these will need opening up a bit. They also have a flat spot at around 3.5 to 4k revs, you can get rid of that by replacing the 3.0bar Fuel Pressure Regulator for a 3.8 one. About £17 from vauxhall, ask for an FPR for a 2.6v6. Any more question, feel free to ask mate. Hope this helps. Dave
  7. Very nice mate, you got the preface! They look much better than the facelift model, mainly because I've got a preface as well! lol. When was the cam belt done? They need to be done every 40k OR 4 years depending which is sooner. Oh, I'm pretty sure Jeff from Zedworld has got a GSi as well.
  8. Welcome matey :)
  9. Very sad to hear this :( Was he driving a zed at the time?
  10. Does anybody know of a good web site that sells car tools? I'm Looking for a heavy duty trolley jack. Cheers Dave

  12. Welcome to the club mate :)
  13. You may as well get the full HD (1080p) I've got a Philips Ambilight 1080p telly and it's great.
  14. Congrats mate :duffer:
  15. I've dealt with this bloke and he's a complete :xxx: The car was parked next to wall and on an incline so, I couldn't get round it for a look. He tried to cover up a massive hole in the boot with his hand. He won't let you drive it. Full Service history stopped in 2004. The years tax ran out in two months and he had to drive to a local garage to "pick up" the MOT cert that was done a month before! He didn't bother washing the car and it was minging! And he met me in a local b&q car park driving the car, so I didn't get to start it from cold. This bloke made me think that all zeds were heaps and he nearly put me off them! Be careful with this bloke mate.
  16. Saw that yesterday, think he's being a bit optimistic! lol
  17. Another quality read Jeff! Keep them coming :)
