Cheers for that. I don't have a boost controller, so the car must have boost jets then? The gauge did seem quite accurate In that it was sitting in the right places at the right times i.e. Idle, full throttle etc. The car would also rev to 7200 before changing gear (auto).

In the process of scrapping my zed and I was wondering if anyone knows what chip this is in my ECU? I was told by the previous owner that it had a JWT chip installed. All I can say is that the car's boost gauge (stock 14 psi) went off the scale when giving it the beans :wack: and the chip is definitely in a socket :) Also, what does the variable resistor (second photo) do? I was getting this on mine, turned out to be the exhaust rattling on the bracket that goes across them.

Both the Aliens and predators were drawn by HR Gieger (spelling?) and have always been linked.

It looks like it's connected to the main harness, I'm assuming that it's getting power from that. I haven't tracked the braided hoses all the way yet.

I'm in the process of breaking my zed and found this black box under the centre console next to the handbrake. I can't find any ref to it in the service manuals. Does anybody know what it is? I don't want to just rip it out until I know what it does. The blue arrow points to where the braided cable is going. Since I've never stripped a car and i'm not a mechanic, there will no doubt be loads of these threads coming soon! :wack: Cheers as always :D Dave

Get a ground loop isolator and put it on your rca leads. That should eliminate interference.

Does your front bumper have 3 slots on both bottom corners? These are used to let air in to the intercoolers. The non turbo version bumper doesn't have them. Please don't take it as a criticism, just an observation. I agree with you about the 300zx, it is a fantastic car and your one looks great!

Looks like a nice motor there mate. It could be me but is that an N/A bumper? I can't see the slots for the intercoolers :confused:

The first series was excellent, can't wait for the new one. Not a big fan of his but you've got to respect him for doing them.

Does your PC use RAID? If so you should have installed the drivers when installing windows.
