  1. The auto shifter is connected to the gearbox via a rod linkage type arrangement.

  4. looks good mate but I thought you were going for this:
  5. ah, right. I've got that on my racelogic traction control. I thought it was some sort of engine power restricter.
  6. Or attempt to kill the driver in a massive tail spin..
  7. Out of interest, why do you want to restrict the car mate?
  8. nice, I like it. will look great when you've finished mate. Kinda reminds me of a '70's minge.
  9. Mikey will be wanting that back :tt2:
  10. aww, sweeet. I'm not surprised he keeps waking up, sitting like that. lol
  11. Louie Spence.....
  12. First time I really hit boost was when I had a Land Rover V8 Turbo Sport up my 'arris. I was getting really fed up with him tailgating me and showing off to the bird in the pass seat. Anyway, there was a gap to overtake so I put my foot to the floor, hit kickdown the autobox dropped a gear the boost shot over to +14 (boost jets!) and my old G reg auto JDM took off like it was catapulted from the deck of a Nimitz Class carrier! I looked in my rear view about 2 seconds later and the land rover was about 500 yards behind me. That showed him. Mind you, my heart was pumping fast and I was shaking just at the shear power the car had unleashed. You gotta love the zed.
  13. You could try spraying some contact cleaner into the switch, it may be dirty contacts that are causing the problem.
  14. I feel so sorry for the Japanese people. They are dealing with this massive crisis with what can only be described as astounding dignity. The thing that saddens me the most is not the overall picture of the disaster but the little personal stories of people looking for their loved ones. So sad and yet at the same time the have set an example to the rest of the world.
  15. iirc It's more to do with the change in pressure allows old oil seals to leak. Since you have had yours rebuilt you should be fine.
  16. Why was the plate sold with the car if you wanted to keep it? When I bought my Vectra GSi years ago It had a cherished reg, the car reverted back to the original reg and the seller kept the cherished reg.
  17. Yeah, that's the feed from the egr solenoid to throttle body. As Marty said, the other side connects to the carbon canister.
  18. sounds like it was the egr vac line that runs from the driver side throttle body via a metal hard pipe to the bottom of the egr solenoid.
  19. nice figures, pity the power in a diesel all comes in one lump.
  20. I want to, it's the ladies that don't
  21. Welcome matey :) (from another Dave) I'm not
