It sounds like you have either got a small air leak in the brake booster or maybe a leaking seal in the the brake master cylinder.

There's a bloke on ebay that sells MR2 sills. He also does zed ones but doesn't sell them on ebay. Very good fitment and high quality, much cheaper than the Nissan ones as well. Can't remember his name though but I'm sure that some one will be able to give you his details.
