Sounds like my Vectra estate, it's done 114k and the only thing that has actually failed on it was the EGR valve. Which as well all know are only used to cause problems lol. Apart from that it's been great.

:lol: loving all the fishy puns. Some were clutching at prawns tho' Yep, I know about the fish eggs sticking to water fowls feet etc, but I have never seen any water birds anywhere near my pond. If a heron was the culprit for example it would have kept coming back until it had wiped out my stock. Luckily I have a Heron defence system built in to the pond. Heron's can only hunt by wading and if one did attempt to wade in my pond it would very quickly be up to it's neck in water. I also don't think it could have been ducks as they would not have been able to take off again due to the high fences around my pond. Not to mention my two killer cats would have had them. I'm not saying that it didn't happen that way as it is the only realistic way to explain it. At the end of the day though, I got a free Tench so happy days :laugh:

Well not me but my pond. Bit of back story first; I built my pond when I moved here from Norfolk 17 years ago, it's only a little one at 10'x7' and 2 and half deep. I brought the fish from old pond in Norfolk as there was only 5 of them, 4 Tench and a Common Carp all about 3 - 4 inches long. Anyway, I lost two of the tench within a couple of years of the pond being built. And I lost my Common about 3 years ago, was gutted at that one as he was over 2ft long and weighed about 12lbs. So apart from all the other fish in there I still had the two tench left and for the past 15 or so years they have been happily swimming about together with their mates and slowly growing. Now to the "weird bit"; Yesterday I went out to feed them and I noticed that there were 3 tench in there all about the same size :blink: I haven't put any new fish in the pond for over ten years as the gold fish have been breeding and stocking the pond for me. So how has this third tench managed to stay hidden for so long or has someone put it in there! lol There's not really anywhere for fish to hide as such and the water is crystal clear so you can clearly see all the fish swimming about. It also can't have been born in there as both my tench are female. So in summary, wtf is going on :huh: lol
