  4. Happy Birthday buddy, have a great day :pint:
  5. Yes it is true...... but you may be able to get at the relay from the wheel arch mate.
  6. Yes, It's a little trip I'll be making when I finally get mine finished. I'm going to get Jeff to check my work and make sure I've done it right.
  7. Nope, just you two!!
  8. Just a thought but are you changing the brake pedal or cutting yours down?
  9. Aah, it's also bonded on so running a screwdriver around it to break the bonding will help you get it started. As said, once you get a couple of the welds bust it will wiggle off.
  10. Are you trying to remove it from the footwell? It's a lot eaiser doing from the bay side. lol
  11. A big old screwdriver (used as a lever) is probably enough. Or why not get your drill on the welds? you don't need to go all the way through just enough to break the welds.
  12. What I did was use a a jack and a bit of 2x4. Place jack at front of box and lift then put the wood across the gap where the gearshifter goes. Drop some rope through the gap and round the box rear then lift it up and tie it off round the wood. This allows you to "swing" the gearbox into position and makes fitting it easy.
  13. still the same mate. They've got a massive and poorly planned order in at work and I'm having to sort it out myself (as usual)
  14. Don't know what's going on then. lol But basically I'm working all week mate, i'm afraid.
  15. not yet, i'll try again. As I said my phone keeps switching itself off randomly :( Just got it, replied in a pm mate.
  16. Can you give us a bit more info mate? i.e. when does it knock? speed related, bump related etc.
  17. I used a hammer and cold chisel to knock out the spot welds holding it in place bud. You could probably use a drill as well. It does come out fairly easily but you'll need to use a bit of brute on it. Is this what you were looking for? ; http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?117000-Auto-to-manual-conversion
  18. Welcome to the club mate :) Best to get the belt changed soon as. I'm sure one of our members near you will be happy to give you a hand. PS. pics of your zed are the Law mate. lol
  19. Paint for me. Vinyl wrap looks good at a distance but not so much close up.
  20. Happy Birthday mate :pint:
  21. Not 100% sure it's basically adjusting the butterfly valves so that they open at the same time. I'm sure somebody will be able to tell you. Have a look here; http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?126853-curing-erratic-idle
  22. If your finding it rock hard why not get some less aggressive shocks and springs and see if that helps. Be a shame to sell her when you've done so much.
  23. Congrats on getting it sorted mate.. Some things to look at; 1 Check the tps and IAA and adjust if rec. 2. Throttle cable slack maybe and needs adjusting. Or throttlebodies need balancing. 3. Maybe a problem with the type2 loom adapter or a duff PTU. HTH
  24. Sounds like a lot of car for the money bud, me likey :thumbup1:
