  1. Your probably right mate don't think you would really notice it though ;)
  2. of course you haven't mate, it's all healthy discussion :) That's basically what I was saying tho' (albeit, in a far better way than I did lol) about the engine temp being high enough to activate the viscous clutch. The belt that drives the fan runs at the same speed as the engine as it's running the water pump too, so there isn't a difference in horsepower regardless of whether the fan is running or not.
  3. If you've upgraded from the stock exhausts then you will get a performance boost due to the exhaust being less restricted and able to get rid of gases quicker. So it's all good mate..
  4. Good theory but completely wrong mate. lol The viscous fan is directly related to engine rpm. So when the car is at idle then the fan is also idling. Once you speed up (and the engine is hot enough to activate the fan clutch) the fan will also speed up. This is the reason that a lot of zeds start to overheat on idle. If your hearing an audible roar then it's coming from the backup electric fan on the a/c rad, this kicks in above 100deg to cool the engine down. HTH
  5. Best of luck Bob :thumbup1:
  6. Looking great bud :thumbup1: but won't you get shite stains on the seats when your out pervin'
  7. The UK ones are ok on normal 95ron unleaded but the JDM's really need 97+ to get the best out of them. Saying that though, I only use super-unleaded in my UK zed (not that it moves much lol)
  8. Doesn't sound like it's going into safety boost mate. lol
  9. If the car is in safety boost then it won't go above 7psi.
  10. Would be nice if Sky didn't charge us subscribers when they decide to do a free weekend. Snowballs chance in Hell of that happening though....
  11. That's correct mate, once the wires are connected together the car will be able to start.
  12. Looking good mate :thumbup1:
  13. Happy Birthday Mrs Jaikai, have a great day and get Lee to do EVERYTHING for you
  14. Welcome matey :)
  15. I got my one delivered today mate. It's not going to blow your socks off but it's great for the price. The only think I don't like is the keyboard, it feels a bit plasticey. Saying that though, I haven't found a laptop keyboard I do like
  16. Just make sure that it's Dex II stuff and you'll be fine :)
  17. Don't be scared to ask questions mate, that's what were all here for. lol
  18. If it's been sitting for a while the fluid may have given up the ghost. I would try a fluid change and see if that helps.
  19. Yes they are, so no worries there.
  20. I agree with Mr Bolt, the DW kit is probably the best option for lockout as you don't need to replace the HICAS balljoints in the hubs.
  21. Welcome matey :) Good luck in your search.
  22. This is without a doubt the best car forum on the web. If it wasn't for the information and help I've got from here I would never have been able to rebuild my zed. I also don't think that the mods are power crazy, I may only have been a mod for a little while but I've been a member for ages, I've seen nothing that made me think the mods are power hungry. If a person gets a ban it is there own fault for breaking the AUP etc, they are always given a chance to redeem themselves as a ban is the last resort and we do not issue them lightly. The Moderation on this site has helped to keep the forum a pleasant and friendly place where you can have banter, ask questions etc without being flamed.
  23. If you like the HICAS then get it repaired, if not then delete it, simples.
  24. Great job there Rob, keep it up mate. lol
  25. They're all made in China any way mate
