What year is my car?
My guess is your car is pre-Aug 1992, but if you send me a photo of the VIN plate I can work out in which month it was built.

devin chips
Don't worry, for a moment I thought someone was copying my chips and selling them. It's actually not the case.

devin chips
Some of those chips are mine, specifically the z32.555 and Zahra.007, so it's kind of interesting to see that they are being sold on eBay !!!!!!!!!!!

Low entry trolley jack...
Well there is a patent/copyright on the design, but something similar would be possible.

Low entry trolley jack...
I'm thinking about a set of these :- http://www.levo-artis.com/products-specs-prices.html but it's only got as far as the thinking and not the buying so far. Making my own is also an option if I feel like a bit of welding practice.

Boost gauge, 1 for each turbo?
You could have two gauges if you wanted, but as the two sides of the plenum, and hence the output from the turbos, is linked, then it is of limited use.

Very messy, would involve moving the files and probably editing the registry. Much safer to uninstall/reinstall.

Revive my laptop or ditch it?
You might get away with removing some of the junk you don't need first. Go through the software uninstall (control panel/add or remove programs) and get rid of anything you no longer use. Secondly, you can speed up the graphics side by the advanced settings. (My computer, right click - Properties, Advanced tab, Performance settings and select "Adjust for best performance")

Pulled over for my plate today
I think the rear plate is allowed to be a different size, because the hole in the bodywork is too small for a 'standard' UK plate. [sensible]As far as I can see there is no reason why you can't fit a 'standard' plate to the front.[/sensible] ! Anyway, I think the new regulations also stipulate the size of the plate, not just the size and spacing of the letters.

petition the Prime Minister to Reduce Fuel duty to bring fuel prices back down.
Plus it nets the government a useful list of troublemakers names and email addresses.

How many many revolutions of the crank to a full 6cylinder cycle???
That is correct, but .... assuming the turbos are doing something, then there will be more than 3 litres of air drawn in through the filters.

Another Fuel Thread
I don't understand how paying more money for something bad makes it good again !

What shocks do you rate?
I have Tokico's and have nothing bad to say about them. They're not spring or ride height adjustable but the damping is easy to adjust.

smoke from engine and exhausts
Not going above 0 psi can be indicative of a seized turbo !

Misplaced technology/terminology ...
Erm, yes ! Actually, by law it has to be "suitable for human consumption" !
-
Misplaced technology/terminology ...
... and stuff that claims to be a "liquid gel" - it has to be one or the other ....
-
Misplaced technology/terminology ...
So what about things that are "new and improved". So which is it then ? You can't have both ....
-
Misplaced technology/terminology ...
Yeah, that's another thing, everything seems to be a 'system' now, even if it's obviously the simplest thing on the planet with no moving parts etc. Surely the definition of a system is something more complicated, than a lump of gel for example. system: Any organized assembly of resources and procedures united and regulated by interaction or interdependence to accomplish a set of specific functions. [JP1] 2. A collection of personnel, equipment, and methods organized to accomplish a set of specific functions.
