Image manipulation
Looks like this could be useful for he people who are always enquiring about how to resize images etc Picasa: Google's Simple Image Management and Manipulation Program Got lots of digital pictures but having trouble keeping them organized? Need a way to do simple image cleanup and manipulation but don't want to shell out the big bucks for a program like PhotoShop? There are a number of alternatives, and we've mentioned some of them in previous issues of the newsletter. Another that a lot of folks like is Picasa, which is distributed by Google as a free download. It will scan your computer to find all the pictures (even those you forgot you had), let you do simple fixes (straighten, crop, remove redeye) and effects, and make it easy for you to create slideshows, email photos, send them to your blog, and otherwise manage them. I really like the fill light effect that lets you lighten only the shadowed areas of a picture. You can download it here: http://www.wxpnews.com/rd/rd.cfm?id=050719TI-Picasa

I remember JeffTT going on about this sometime in the past - try a search. Maybe that was just about the problems of putting it in the wrong way round.

Best joke ever?
The World's Funniest Joke -- Official LONDON (Reuters) - After a year of painstaking scientific research, the world's funniest joke was revealed on Thursday. In a project described as the largest-ever scientific study into humor, the British Association for the Advancement of Science ( news - web sites) asked Internet users around the world to submit their favorite jokes and rate the funniness of other people's offerings. More than 40,000 jokes from 70 countries and two million critiques later, this is it: "Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other man pulls out his phone and calls emergency services. He gasps to the operator: "My friend is dead! What can I do?" The operator in a calm, soothing voice replies: "Take it easy. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." There is a silence, then a shot is heard. Back on the phone, the hunter says, "Ok, now what?"

Paid for resubscription, but no effect!
Transfer takes approx 5 working days and unfortunately I have to do it manually. However, I shall be reviewing the accounts in a few minutes, so hopefully your payment will be there.

Paid for resubscription, but no effect!
It looks like the automated Paypal process failed for some reason. I pushed it through manually for you. Actual date of re-sub was 20th June.

Next car....
Yep, had two R19 16v's one was a rocketship with fantastic handling and the other just didn't quite hang together right - never did like that one. A mate of mine also had one and it was a beaut. The missus also had a 1.8i Clio and then a 2.0i Megane, both were pretty good cars and went well.

Your membership number is posted here :- http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=52700 Think it was 554. You need to PM MTL to get stickers as Paypal does not give us an address.

Cat removal
Not sure why O2 sensors were mentioned as you wouldn't normally go near them if just doing a decat - they're further forward on the turbo downpipe/manifold. The cat temp sensors can just be unscrewed and shoved back through the wire hole to under the carpet. Fill the hole with a rubber blanking grommet. You could just cut the wire of course, but you never know, you might find a use for them one day.

You have to admit that it'll make a better job of towing a caravan than any front wheel driven car !

Harry Potter book: Has any one else just come back from the book shop?
No, I have been at the village cricket club drinking !

Renewal
The only way you lot pay my wages is by getting sick, being vaccinated and drinking Lucozade - go do it ! Actually, I suspect the renewal message is one of those automated things that's done by the forum s/w. Dunno whether it's possible to alter it, that'd be a job for Mike ....

Autobox ECU
Yeah, I have one sitting in mine doing nothing !

engine oil
As a short term approach I'd suggest replacing the PCV's - it's easy and won't take much longer than changing the oil.

Clutch...No first or reverse...HeLp
When it's hot everything expands a bit, leading to a bit of clutch drag when supposedly disengaged, which makes it hotter and worse etc etc Going on what you said about the clutch it's probably OK, and just needs a little adjustment for more clearance. Good luck, you need to be a double-jointed, stunted worm to get under there - best get Berks to do it ! :D LOL

Brakes, costs etc ....
So are GTR calipers the Goldline Brembos (like 350z ?) ?
-
Brakes, costs etc ....
Yeah, but the discs & pads are 2nd hand - we're talking about brakes here, not seat cushions (and neons!). Nonetheless, very interested in the Goldline Brembos
