Yea the battary is flat because iv been trying to start it every time iv tryed to fix it, but even attatched to a jump pack or another car, but even attatched to another car or jump pack the dash lights won't come on??

Any other clues? Iv lost dash lights now too??? Crank sensor? Knock sensor?

I dont remember getting the new tearms and conditions that stated only £20 worse off 'subscribed members' people could buy and sell? 'pal' I buy and sell on driftworks, they seem to make lots of money without charging membership? Not getting drawn into this same old debate again, iv been on a hell of alot of fourms that don't charge a membership fee and they survive just fine, I enjoy the banter and the mature advise, and it's always nice to have a second opinion on problems AND I used to enjoy scanning through the for sale/wanted, I appreciate that without this fourm I would'v probably given up on this car so I know I have alot to be thankful for, and I semi understand why you guys got pissed off with the scam artists on the forsale part but self moderation and maby a minimum post count could'v solved that one, nevermind ay

Right well, I opened it up, looks completly different inside /: no visable damage so I'm going to do an ecu diagnosis and go from there, any ideas?

Battary is sweet now, there doesn't appear to be a listing for ptu failure in that list of fault codes?

Ecu diagnosis? What's this and how do I so one? (wouldn't'v thaught I fitted a tt engine in this thing 6 months ago) lol!!

Right, well iv bin home, first I pulled the fuel pump fuse and tried to fire it up, it didn't start up, I then swapped the aircon and the ign relays over, still no joy...... Ptu? Anyone live near me so I can try there's or a spare someone might have?

No not even trying, it's throwing alotta fuel through, I'll try that tonight which ones the coil seem to remember it all being in Japanese in the relay box or is that the fuse box?.. Well either way I'll try that if it's a no go then i'll have to test the ptu somehow....

It turns over and there's deffinatly fuel getting to it, it was fine yesterday, only thing I did was top up with antifreeze, could it have something to do with my lack of an egr valve? I mean I was trying for ages and it didn't even try to fire up???

There's barely any pull on it when it's off, it's gotta be overcharging somehow...

In the 3 years iv owned this car (na and tt) it's always had a crap battary. Ie it would be randomly flat if I left it over night and would leak from the top after a long drive. So I replaced it after the tt conversion, the exact same thing is happening again it's only been in for a few months and it's flat again not holding charge and it's leaking from the top... Assuming iv not accidentaly bought another duff battary that just happened to have the same problem I'm assuming there is some sort of voltage regulator? I get the feeling it's over charging? Is it a case of new alternater? Or new regulater? Because obvioulsy iv had the same battary fault with two different engines??? I'm so confused I really would appreciate any help regarding this problem.

I'm at this point, iv got a light weight flywheel, seems large differences, £189 gets you a standard kit, £400 gets you the cheapest '40%' extra clamping force 6 puc clutch kit then it's £1180 for some don mega epic clutch..... I wanna run 400bhp ish.... Dunno what to do either, I was told the standard one is only capable of taking little over the standard power output.

I swapped my na for a tt, it's not that difficult as an engine swap, I'm a complete novis, as long as you can get a ramp and an engine crain IRS really not that difficult, I'd rather do that than rebuild it

I just shoved the neg on a bolt to the chassis, handbreake wire to the handbreake switch and the yellow wire went in with the green
