Engine rebuild using graphogen correctly
As title when using graph often it states it should be used on all machined surfaces inc cylinder walls and rings! Does that apply to the vg what should be coated other then the bearing with graphogen?

cylinder heads valve seat cutting, engine work....etc
now im planning on doing some work on my z over the winter, im going to be rebuilding the heads with new seals etc and was wondering on valve seat work? if the valves are all ok can i get the valve seats recut (3 angle jobbie?) and use the original valves? will they lap into the newly cut valve seats ok? also while im at it i am ordering some weisco piston rings for my 87.5 mm wisco pistons. what is the easiest DIY way of gapping them so i get the faces really square without spending out on a special grinder which i would only use on one engine build? main bearings and rod bearings. would acl race series standard (depending on condition of crank of course) be ok to use or any opinions on other makes of bearing sets? all help greatly appreciated. gaz

head oil starvation? or just faulty lifters
Sorry only just see this! It was a blocked check valve in the oil gallery in the block. I used a needle and paraffin. I then applied vacuum via a tube and drew the oil through the valve. once the head was off to unblock it. All is well with it now.

Plug removal?
I did it by sliding a narrow flat head screwdriver gently between them but must be small. I then wiggled it side to side and applied pulling pressure and it came off.
