  5. brown one put a flat blade screwdriver between the two haves (plastic tab and the other half) and twist while pushing it down. always worked for me on a stubborn connector
  6. just take your time mate and be methodical. any thing your not sure of take a picture and mark it on the step by step engine removal guide. when taking the engine out lift it a bit at a time and check all round the engine to make sure you have all the cables detached . then lift some more and recheck . sometimes it doesn't become apparent untill your lifting the car on wires and wonder why the bugger wont start once you have it all back in ;)
  7. question why don't you split the box and engine?
  8. propshaft removal is easy once the bolts are undone at the diff end and you undo the centre bearing bolts drop down the rear section of the prop and it will slide out of the gearbox.

  11. 1/5 a ton would be fine. gearbox is only approx 65kgs and engine isnt anywhere near 400kgs :)
  12. totally agree. i am currently driving a 1.2 clio while my z is off the road, saving a fortune in fuel and it all adds up to fix the lady.

  15. easy put velcro (the self adhesve stuff ) under the box and stick it to the carpet!
  16. bloody hell. jeff whats your opinions on the underdrive pulleys. are the cheaper ones ok or not?

  18. that would be great mate thank you. what im basically trying to determine is how much would need to be skimmed off of the mounting face of the tt bell housing to allow the starter to work on a na flywheel as i have a lightweight fidenza one and really dont wanna swap it out for a tt if i can help it. cheers gaz
  19. take off the plastic cover on the passenger side the one under the rear quater window and you will see how much room there is behind there
