  1. The bass should be booming enough not to allow them to speak anyway. :D And then when you stop, you realise just how many decibels you've been kicking out. :D Goah...I miss the red zed...
  2. James.....dear.....when are you next coming over to embed yourself in my red Zed? Leave the keys to yours on the kitchen table....they'll be ......safe..... there... :D :D
  3. Would take more skill to do an xXx style parachute landing into the driver's seat. :D :D :D
  4. And you said you'd never tell. :o  :o  :o :D :D
  5. But you're still getting used to the car, Emero. And it's a car in which you don't currently feel safe for obvious reasons. I still have your box o'bits btw - have had it kicking around the boot of the Peugeot for the last 2 weeks. :)
  6. XT - the joke has been received I think, especially as you have added the weight of a certain person to it shortly after he posted it, but it's not a terribly amusing one, is it? :p
  7. I tend to speed on motorways and deristricted roads. Too much chance of a stray child / cat / dog whatever suddenly appearing in 20 - 40mph zones.
  8. Heel and Toe. With pictures! :D
  9. Double de-clutching is a relic from the era of non-synchromesh transmissions. Back in the days of non-synchro 1st gears, most people just didn't use that gear except when starting from rest. Racers don't do much double de-clutching these days. In fact a lot of racing transmissions are shifted without de-clutching. It used to be a practice to downshift through the gears to help slow the car and preserve the brakes. But brakes on modern cars tend to be stouter than the transmissions. Sooo..brake like crazy for the corner and shift into the gear you need for acceleration off the apex. Brake, brake, brake with right foot; de-clutch with left foot; blip throttle with side of right foot while still braking; engage clutch after selecting proper gear. Sort of like that. Just takes practice and well-placed brake pedal/throttle pedal relationship. BTW double de-clutching had nothing to do with saving the clutch. If you didn't double de-clutch in a non-synchro trans, you got a horrible grinding crunch as the gears tried to mesh. Try shifting into reverse while driving - that sound.
  10. You hero, you. :p LOL. Not much of a challenge! :D
  11. ...yeah...more than likely.... Cheers for that! :p
  12. Because they make more money standing on a dual carriageway on sunny days, of course! Have you sent it back? If not, request a new NIP because that one got wet / damaged / eaten by the dog anything and then fill in the new one and don't sign that.
  13. Yours would be these then. :) Look nice, but if they can get scratched easily, then not really worth $400....
  14. ouch!!! Not sure I need them to illuminate...! :D
  15. But I wouldn't post stuff like that! :p :D
  16. First thing to do is request photographic evidence. This does not incriminate you. Secondly, once you receive the NIP fill it in, send it back but don't sign it. At present there is a loop hole which means that you can get away with this. (POSSIBLY) TBH 50 in a 40 you're probably only looking at £60 fine and 3 points anyway, so it might not be worth the hassle. Take a look at this for more info on the not signing thing.
  17. Cool! And if a Z logo could somehow be embossed on them in the middle, so much the better! :D
  18. Am AT work With a Peugeot Zeds are 100 odd miles away. But tomorrow however..... :D :D :D
  19. Where does one source the metal kickplates that go along the lip of the door? The plastic ones are all very well and good but I'm thinking some nice shiny silver-coloured ones would be better. Anyone know?
  20. Shhh...whose side are you on? ;) ;)
