A while ago in fast ford magazine there was a escort mkIII with the vg in it running 1400bhp (the most powerful mkIII in the world), maybe worth a search for fast ford..................

Anyone any suggestions? It cured itself after a few days but now its back again (after all this time) and been like this for over a week now, thats why I never posted the solution. Datascan cable dos'nt pick up the fault either. Cheers

I got an advisory on this problem in february at mot time, and to be honest I don't really want to look (I know I should) I have heard its a lot of work..........

My aftermarket oil pressure gauge reads at just over 100psi and reads 30psi when warm and idle, when the weather was really hot recently I only got 70-85psi when first started up in the afternoon, can't really comment on the 4k revs as I don't drive like that but it Doe's shoot up when booting it.

I also changed fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator and fuel dampner

I need a replacement 'white box'? as my intermitent wiper setting stops the wipers whereever it feels like also with no pattern. How much for the timer module? sorry for the hi-jack

The AP setup is right, I got some new brembo slotted and drilled discs from brembo in a nice red box with a booklet/manual and the slots outside edge hit the brake pad first like the AP ones.

Im impressed! really like it.

I use ams oil 10-40 fully sinthetic, opie oils sells it

Anyone had this before? The explanation mark in a circle light is on when handbrake is applied, but doesnt go out when handbrake is off, the light only goes dim. It did this this morning and I stopped car and restarted and all went ok, but every other time today it has just gone dim. Fluids are fine? Any ideas? cheers :)

I got evo 8 calipers, IIRC evo 5 and above went to Brembo's would'nt like to say if all the same size though?

I fitted evo front brake lines.

I was also warned to be careful at that level of boost, lol. Yep stock intercoolers but lightened flywheel and crank pully. Also mine has the cats on.

The last transit van I got came with a squealing thrust bearing, paid the guy 2 days after it broke and I was shocked to find the gearbox was bolted to the engine with only a three bolts that where in about 3 threads, I should have suspected, cos I soon as I got it home I looked at the air filter for an indication of last service..............it was missing :s

I had my crack welded up:o for the mot in feb, the arms where only fitted 12months previous (rose jointed ones)
