More like a damaged track I'd imagine as I don't believe there's any moving parts inside to stick. Try cleaning the connectors as it could be as simple as that. I have a working series 1 PTu for sale - £35 delivered if you need it :) Vijay

Hi, With the AFM and T piece removed, should the 2 pipes that the T peice attaches to have equal suction? On mine the passanger side one has a lot of suction and the engine almost stalls with my hand over it but the drivers side doesn't. Vijay

or it could be the aircon drain pipe which exits on the passanger side too ;)

Won't pay??? Mate, time for her to leave and you to look after your kid even if it's just till she finds a place. Makes me mad that people think they have the right to put somone else in debt so they can be sorted. You're a nicer person than I am cos she'd have been out by now.

Right, spoke to my mate and the garage who painted my car will only repaint the bonnet and boot lid and won't discuss doing the car again. What really winds me up is they won'd even go and look at the car which is 20 minutes away, they said bring the car to them knowing full well my mate has been ill for the last 5 months and has oinly been able to walk for the past week and that my car isn't drivable so has to be transported. And they expect to be paid - not if I can help it cos they haven't done a proper job and won't sort it. Got Scott from Custom Exotics comeing to look at it hopefully this week and talked to Knight Racer earlier who will get back to me with price. It might need to be re-stripped back to bare metal but at least it will be in capable hands this time.........................I hope! lol

check your closed throttle switch which is the connector under the TPS (it comes out of the bottom of the TPS), make sure the conenctions are nice and clean as this could cause your problems ;) Vijay

Sorry to hear that and thanks for worrying me even more!!! lol When I spoke to Scott today, he did tell me he couldn't warrant the work unless he did a full strip and respray which I'm hoping may end up being done, so getting a refund could be a sensible option ;) Hope you gets yours sorted too.

That's the thing, there's no much they can repair without doing a full respray. The list of bits I'm not happy with would be shorter if I just listed the bits that are OK - the rear bumper is about it!!! lol The mirrors have runs, the headlight panel has runs and sinkage, the T roofs are a different shade. Unless they agree to a full respray, I'm not having it ;)

I know Corsas had a handbrake problem but never a Renault Megane. Just did a google search and there was a few others with the same problem

The 2 garages had a meeting today and I've got to meet witht he original garage tomorrow. If the garage who just painted my car want another chance to do it, do I have a right to refuse? My worry is if it goes to court, they could turn that on me and say I never gave them a chance to put things right even though when I pointed things out they called me fussy

I was with Petplan but found their renewal prices to go up. I then looked at Tesco online and they worked out the best, having 2 options of cover. One thing to make sure is that they don't exclude an area if you've claimed on it once which is what Petplan used to do (not sure about them now), with my last dog they exluded anything on her skin cos she had a rash once! Another plan is to put the money aside every month and keep it for if/when you need it

Honestly don't think they are trying to be selfish, more like depression has hit them and they just aren't thinking straight. A mate of mine's cousin did this a few years ago up North and there was a lot more than what the news reported. Still no justifying it though.

I do like the sound of Scott, he uses a motto of only accepting work as if it was his own car, no matter the car or job which is something I work by. Only thing in my mind is the difference in prices, does confuse me how 2 bodyshops who both have good reps can be so different in price............................... The 2 garages who've dealt with my car are having a meeting to talk about my car so I'll wait to see the outcome. All I know is how ever fed up I am, I won't let this just go till I'm happy!!!!
