  1. God forbid you have an accident, do you really think you're insurance are gonna cover you with no MOT. Just not worth the risk....................
  2. Mate I'm really sorry for you and your family. Can't imagine how distraught you must all be feeling. You're so right though, everyone both female and male - do those checks!!!!
  3. Just my opinion but personally I've found you get what you pay for and it's difficult to find a good bodyshop as it is (took me quite a few attempts) :(
  4. Was about £50 to get one refurbed
  5. £34.02 - You must be baking them cakes too at that price!!! lol
  6. pretty certain O2's tell the ECU to adjust the fuel mixture, hence they read between lean and rich
  7. really think it's cos it's not up to operating temps and may not need replacing...........
  8. Think you may need the car hotter. I'd take it for a good drive then check it.
  9. fro Conzult manual: O2 SENS-LEFT & O2 SENS-RIGHT 0.0 - 0.30 > 0.60 - 1.00 volt Note: With no load at 2000rpm in neutral the value should cycle from lean to rich approximately 5 times in ten seconds (at a random interval). On a warm car (80’ C), the O2 sensor should move around when the throttle is “blipped”, if the value remains latched then the O2 sensor has lost sensitivity. If the voltage is fixed in the range of 0.30 to 0.33 then the O2 sensor has lost all sensitivity and it should be replaced. This value is the same as received by the ECU if the sensor was disconnected at the wiring loom plug
  10. are you getting any ecu error codes? (33 for O2)
  11. the reason I asked that is cos I thought O2 sensors work when the exhaust gas temps are hot. The new left one you've put in would be more sensitive
  12. that does seam very strange. I assume the engine was up to operating temps?
  13. yeah but main dealers = main dealers HUGE prices :( Have you got a quote from them to look at the car?
  14. is the right one completely dead now as in no voltage?
  15. Isn't that illegal? Stupid law saying you can't record someone without their permission so you couldn't use it in court :(
  16. I know it's easy to blame the Police but the courts decide what's a civil matter, so what do you want the Police to do :( Once the courts get into the real world and punished people, then the Police might be able to take action with people........... Janus, I think you've been more than patient but I don't understand why you didn't stick to getting a refund? Small claims court isn't as daunting as it may seam. You can do it online and you can track it online also. Just start putting everything in writing to the garage cos you've been too nice ;)
  17. So someone who is too afraid to help would be scum? Pretty stupid statement mate! I honestly don't believe anyone truly knows what they'd do in a situation unless they found themselves faced with it! My Mum tried to help someone years ago and ended up being punched in the face - result was she was scared to go out for a while!! Now I've told her not to get involved and call for help!!
  18. sorry but he annoyed me in the first 3 paragraphs, he walked back through the park to get his car to drive home even though he'd been drinking and was "merry" from drinking - dick!
  19. Croeso, thank you, much better than petrol or white spirit :)
  20. I've ended up sticking the bits in the freezer then using a stanley knife to cut as much away as possible. Then use petrol/thinners/tar remover/wd40 to remove what's left. Only thing I'm worried about is damaging the lenses :(
  21. Hi, Anyone have any good tips on removing the grey/black goo/mastic that's used to seal lamps etc? Cheers Vijay
