  1. Thanks guys. I saw her for the last time today. I picked her up from the vets and brought her home for a short while and cleaned her up, then took her to the crematorium. She should be back home on Wednesday :) I've really appreciated everyones words. Vijay
  2. she was a real softy, fantastic with children and a real little lady :)
  3. Thanks again everyone, I really do appreciate what's been said :) DJTomo, thanks for that mate. I hope your right and one day I can see her happy little beautiful face once again. Mike, I saw that interview with Julian Clary and always remember that too. It's cruel to love something you can have for only such a short period of time. Vijay

  5. Thanks everyone. My house has never felt so empty :( Vijay
  6. Well today I had to have my 11 1/2 year old German Sheperd put to sleep, to say I'm devastated is an understatement!!! She's had loads of problems over the years with vets saying she shouldn't have been able to walk when she reached 6/7. I got up this morning to find her not having any energy at all and then she basically had a stroke in my arms. I rushed her to the vets who done a scan which revealed she had a tumour on her spleen which had ruptured, filling her stomach with blood. This inturned caused the stroke. I had a very tough decision to make which was to let them operate (less than a 10% chance) or to let her go. I know I've done the best thing by her cos of her age etc, but I'm gutted, she was my little angel :( Thanks for listening, Vijay
  7. It's the wide arch skirts blended back into a normal rear end :) Vijay
  8. I was looking at a hydraulic lift which was coming in at the 2K mark fitted. I remember someone saying to me that the problem with single phase mechanical lift is the strain it puts on the motor and screws - any truth in that? Vijay
  9. It's going outside, just need to protect the motors. Vijay
  10. I'm looking at getting a single phase 2 post lift soon but can anyone tell me which is better - electro-mechanical or electro-hydraulic and why? Cheers Vijay

  13. thanks mate, I really appreciate that. Both boards are Wylex. I may be running a new cable anyway as I might need a 22 amp supply for a car lift, not sure yet. Your help has really been appreciated :) Vijay
  14. Hi Dave, Basically your timing could be completey out. Vijay
  15. Just an update, tried it on a house socket and no problems at all. Vijay
  16. cheers mate, I appreciate the help. Vijay
  17. Hi gruntpa64, what do you reckon on this - just had a thought. The fusebox in the garage splits the circuit into a light circuit protected by a 5 amp fuse and the socket circuit which has a 20amp fuse. If I changed that fuse to a 16amp trip switch, would that trip first or would the house MCB trip as well? Vijay
  18. Cheers Steve. I'll try the transformer in a house socket tomorrow. I've been using power tools in the garage with absolutely no problem, it's just the transformer. Vijay

  20. It might be the right time to re-lay the cable as I've got to dig up part of the drive anyway. What size armoured cable would I need? why have they brought these new laws in anyway? Cheers for the help, Vijay
  21. the 16a breaker is in the house dist board which goes into another board (in the garage) which splits into the lighting and socket circuits
  22. Cheers. Any idea how I can stop this as it supply power to the garage alarm which goes off when the power is cut :( Vijay
  23. Hello Derek, The 1/8NPT fitting will go straight in but you need to get a 90 degree elbow. Have a read on this thread and let me know if I can help - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=25348&page=1&pp=15&highlight=10mm Vijay
  24. Hi, I've got one of these yellow transformer boxes that I used with Kango breaker. The problem is it keeps tripping the switch at the mains board but only when you first plug it in, it works perfectly after that  The breaker is a 16amp one for the garage electrics. Any ideas? Cheers Vijay
  25. engine by numbers :) - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=26120 Depending on what air filter you have could be causing your problems. IIRC some aftermarket airfilters can soak up water when the splash gaurd has been removed. Vijay
