Did you remove the arch liner? if you do, you'll see the place where the wires go through, don't try and do it from inside the car. Vijay

what does it look like? If it's an import it might be the cat overheat light which would fit it would your problems. Unburnt fuel is getiing into your exhuasts and igniting. Vijay

if you remove the arch liner on the front passenger side, you will see a grommet that goes through to just above the ECU (passanger footwell), yuo can easily get it from the battery to inside the car from there and then just run it down the sill :) Vijay

yep, certainly sounds like the AFM as a faulty AFM will not let you rev past 2.5k. Vijay
