Evening all, Is there such things as coolers for the auto box for the jap imports iam sure ive heard of people talking about them any ideas.

I had a p1 on a w reg 2000 lovely looking car turns heads every were it went. But the egine give up on me one day coming home from work big end bearings had gone took it to subaru in cardiff for an inspection and basically they wanted £4500 for a new shortblock engine and other parts and labour i was gutted after paying £13,00 for her 18 months before it happened. If you are looking to get one make sure its had a full rebuild regardless of milage mine had full subaru history with 51,000 miles on her its a common fault with the that engine. Go for the new impreza i know there 5 door but the 2.5 engine is much stronger if i could turn back the clock i would have.

My gearbox is doing my nut in, i totally give up, has anyone local got the conzult software so i could pop up and plug it into my pain in the arse to see if it will give a fault code,iam in Port talbot iam even willing to pay iam not bothered i just want to find the fault with the auto box. If some can help id be very very greatfull.:bow:

Does anyone know if the conzult software will give auto gear box faults, and yes ive tried the diagnostic test a million times but can get it to work. Ive spent the last 2 weeks checking all the connectors, fuses, relays, you name it ive checked it, dont know what else to check i give up.

How do i sort the sensor out evertything has gone wrong since ive had an alarm fitted.

Ive had a few problems with my auto box being stuck in hold mode and cant find the problem. Ive just done the ecu diagnostic test and the knock sensor code is coming up, (detonation sensor circuit) would this keep the car in hold mode it wont go into a/t or power mode could this be the problem ?????
