Evening all, iam trying to get classic car insurance for my zed, can anyone point me in the right direction. Iam 28 the zed is 16 years old but its an import. Ive tried adrian flux they want £1000, my normal insurance is only £500. Has anyone on here got classic insurance maybe suggest someone i can try.

The impreza is only going to be a car to get me back and forth to work, at the moment they have gone right down in price and i loved my P1. Dont get me wrong my zed is an on going project and i love it, doing all the jobs that need doing, even if it takes me a couple of years to get her at her best as she deserves, iam not bothered, but i need a motor just to do the usual ,back and for to work, picking the kids up from school ,shopping the usual crap but the zed aint ready yet is wish she was id drive her all day long if i could.

Iam going to get a sti type r its the 2 door coupe, i used to own a p1 the same as the type r but the british version. Only thing is the engine went and a new short block engine was fitted by subaru cardiff at a cost of £4000 a common fault with the p1 big end bearing falure. I dont really know alot about the type r coupe are the engines better are there any common faults with the car can anyone give me some pointers before i pick it up. Still keeping the z though no way iam i selling it theres no point, never get the money back and at the moment there going for penuts id rather let it rot than sell her. Any help on type r would be great.

Yea me to, i get about 60 miles to £20 of petrol but mine is an auto so mpg isnt as goos as a manual.

Just wondering wats the best way to launch a auto of the line. I have been told to hold the brake pedal down hard, dial up to 4000rpm then let the brake pedal go is this right or not.. Like a go kart i supose.

Some fooker keyed my spoiler a few days ago, took it to the body shop for a quote and they wanted 2oo bucks to sort it out, so i thought fook it ill have a go my self and fair play ive done a good job. The scratch was about 10 inches long and very deep so went to halfrauds got a selection of sandpaper, primer and got some paint from Nissan, sanded the scratch out (which took i while) lol, primed it sprayed it then laqured it. I cant belive how good its turned out, iam awsome.lol lol It just goes to show if you put your mind to it you can do anything. Ill try to get some pics up of the finished article tomorrow but iam well happy with the the resut ,looks perfect, i didnt know i had it in me. So if any one needs a full respray let me know, LOL

I took the z to my local garage today, lots of tappet noise going on, looks like i need to replace some lifters, just looking to see were the best place and the cheapest place to get a set. Would it be better just to replace the ones that have gone or just do them all. And last of all, what sort of labour time can be expected for this job is it a big job??. Any coments most welcome.

Took me motor to work today just to give her a run and noticed the power light on the dash starts to flash only for a few seconds then stops?? Its only happened today any ideas.
