Spotted a nice looking silver z today around the rosehill area of oxford, about 12.30'ish. Wings West kitted i think, i was up a ladder fitting a window!

Not that much really mate, jspec headlights are crap, jspec autos need an additional autobox cooler. Different badges ie: Fairlady z on jspecs. UK models have h'lamp washers. aswell as the obvious speedo in km's & foglight missing etc...

Saw j-reg n/a swb manual for £1800, recently!

As the box is 3 speed with o/d off, the gear ratios are different, therefore you can stay in the same gear longer, not labouring the engine with going up & down gears as often, thus saving fuel. It'll also be a lot better to drive too.

Overdrive on is 4 speed box Overdrive off is 3 speed box (better for urban driving) Power allows it to rev higher before changing gear Hold will hold it in the same gear ie: snow/ice conditions (iirc) Try o/d off & power on, it's fun!

I'm presuming it's a f/s bike? If so, then it should be able to withstand a 'little' jump. The way these bikes are advertised you'd think they could withstand any amount of abuse. Scott are not your usual catalogue bikes either, they should be up to the job. For the record: i used to have a fx g-zero scott f/s bike. It was crap, everything used to creak, especially the crank. Took it back to the shop, they didn't want to know :headvswal Have a Kona now, excellent bike, no probs at all.

A mate of mine had one in imperial blue, was fookin' awesome. They are actually based on a sierra floorpan & are bigger than a standard escort & built by karmann in germany (iirc). So the usual dodgy ford build quality isn't really an issue!
