I bought a 300 zx tt, lwb uk.some time ago and before i found this website the damage was already done.see i bought the car with straight through exhaust decatt and the car had a boost controller or valve timmer same thing. anyway it had no instructions and because i wa\nted a lwb english car i traveled and after a year found one with a decent engine.anyway i drove it around and eventullay found the boost controller mounted above the pedals hidden ,so i turned it on up full and within a week had ****e up my oil seals. so this is where im at today.ive taken the engine out myself over alot of months dont get alot of me time with 21 old week and 6 and 8 year old and wether and not alot of cash.......................................heres the delemer. do i get rebuild the tub with 360 bearings and stagerd oil seals.for 350 plus vat each or do i get tubs rebuilt with 360 bearings stagered oil seals and have the compressor chamber bored out to take t 28s for an extra 100 plus the dreaded for each so 450 what do you think?

just checked the links and if you say this stuff and old faithful legragh then yes this is what i sould buy,4 quarts and who stocks such stuff immm innn nooorrrrrwich in nooooorfolk

apart from me theres only one dip stick and thats for the oil. isnt it.am i right in saying that the gearbox on a man is diferentt to a auto,dose the iol on a man gearbox have no stick?

so for a man do you drain from the bottom and top up the same?

i think to drain theres a plug at bottom and to top up theres a plug on the side but cant be sure and dont know if you top up until no more or what?

just put me gearbox back on engine.now waiting for pcv s kit to come and then going to be waiting on t28 to come then put engine back in whilst haggleing over fmic, thats me busy until christmas.weather permiting.

whilst putting the gear box back onto engine yesterday i broke one of the sensers but dont know what they do . im thinking its the speedo one but coulnt be sure oh and yes its plug has two yellow wires?

i know have a silicon vacuum hose kit, my delemer is im trying to find a link or sight to just vacume hose because i dont want to be unpluggin a fuel line or something? any ideas please.

i would firstly like to aske have you or anyone touched or srayed anything just before the problem? if not i would go back to the maf.unplug the battery for over an hour and clean the sensor inside the maf inside because this little tiny area can get grit dirt or oil or silcon on and affect the the air flow reading thus the ecu is trying to match the infomation with the chip sensor in the maff causing any and all sorts of stuff ,like eregula idal flat spots to even running like on 5 cyinders to no boost and then clen the connction as well all with no product that cotains silicon and is fee of any dust debree or pooh then reconect bat to reset ecu and try.but thats my own opinoin oh yes there might be some or alot of spelling mistakes buy hopefully its eleigable enough to read.hope this helps.
