  1. Way back in 1990 I was working from home as a freelance Illustrator / part time baby monitor. My studio was at the front of the house and the Guy across the road from me bought a pearl Yellow one. I'd always loved the 240Z and thought Z's that followed were just plian ugly. This pear yellow 300 was stunning. it had an F40 style high spoiler with break light and black leather. I was smitten, but young kiddies and 2 Great Danes wasn't practical. He latter put BBS LeMans split rims on it and I knew one day i'd have to have one. 1999 I bought one and until last year has been utterly reliable. i'm paying for that now.
  2. Really sorry about about Gayle's injury and I hope she makes a good and full recovery. you must be a bit shuck up mate. Tell her we're all rooting for her and sympathies to you too Jay.
  3. It should have been her voice box. Lets face it she carn't sing and her only redeming feature is cosmetically enhanced. + With a set of nashers like that you expect her to be call trigger. Mind you having said that if she was on all fours with the nose bag on then I might be tempted to have abit of a knock. Hope she gets better but that in doing so she has a road to Demascus moment and call the sing (if thats what you want to call it) a day
  4. Hi mate if it is your fan and viscous clutch mechanisum then I have two for sale believe it or not. 1 is almost brand new as I replaced it with a 18" Pacet fan and the other looks new which I bought of Mike Feeney along time ago and then lost it in my garage :headvswal £90 for either.
  5. No cracks after 2 years LED's you know it makes sense
  6. If I see it as I'm in Warrington alot I'll let you know the Reg and a discription of the driver. This is just the kind of tosser that needs banning for life. Mate this kind of stupidity is a crime and people of such low inteligence or feckless inconcideration for everyone else should never be allowed a licence. Having said that he proberbly hasn't got a licence or insurance and doesn't give a toss that his actions will peanalise more decent motorists. Rant over.

I was doing it up to 4 years ago. I had to get back into it because my oldest lad was into it and doing quite well in the 2 stroke 125 k series cup. So I couldn't just watch and mechanic all weekend so I got myself a 400 prokart and did the 400 prokart series which was held at the same meetings. I never won because at 14 stone and a mere 27 bhp the you lads would pull away on the straights, but I never came last.

Yep there's a lot to do with driver skills and always proactively setting yourself up so he doesn't get the jump on you. I think cos I've done a lot of proper karting its just second nature. So You hold back alittle and then sling shot into the bend or junction exit so your on the gas first. That way you make the ground as they are starting to get the peddle down and you just blow them into the weeds. :D ;)
  9. Best of luck on all fronts. Glad to hear you're getting rid of the Euro trash :slap: for a real Z  Hope all goes well for you.
  10. Holy camoly. I'm gtted for ya. don't leave it too long bfore you get another.
  11. I read the other post and answered my own first question :headvswal , But if they fit the 350 I'd have thought they should go staight on won't they? HOWMUCH!!!! No wonder Stelios has been round a Lukes asking him to invest in Easycruise.  SSHH don't tell Luke I said that or he'll be marking up his prices on me.   I've got Rachel Welsh on one bedroom wall from 1 million B.C. in just a loin cloth. But what ever turns you on. I would have thought 265 or 275 on 10 J feet.
  12. Sounds more like Turbo oil seals to me. Sorry dued I don't want to be a downer , but thats all the symptoms of oil passing the turbo oil seal at low load and then burning off in the exhaust were it has collected once the engine is on song. If what I'm saying is correct then it only appears to not be smoking the rest of the time because its being burnt of imediately most of the time. However it would show up when you have your 02's checked. It would also accout for oil consumption.
  13. Nick what do you want to know? I can tell you that This is my original UK spec engine which was Auto. So If your car is manual you'll need to swop the Cams. I've had the car 6 years and it was serviced every 4k to 6K and always used good synthetic oil. you can have a copy of its service history no probs. I used to run the car with an induction kit, JWT chip and 14 psi boost. Head gasket failed due to heater matrix. I was going to have this engine rebuilt at the time but I got a fantastic deal from API as they had part rebuilt an engine for a customer who backed out of one he'd paid £1200 on. So I a custom rebuilt engine for a song with the pistons I wanted and 12 month or 10,000 mile warrenty. So I'd already had my old engine checked and tested with a view to a custom rebuild and know that the compression is well within tollerence, the pistons and sleeves look sweet, but there is slight wear in the big ends. Irony is that first thing I would have done would have been new forge pistons and they are the best bit of the engine. I would also suggest that you establish why the pistons/ rings have failed before you plumb in any new lump. ie Was it running week. I still have the JWT Chip for the 15/15 psi set up which would cure those type of problems. That would also be available for an extra £90. However you need to have a good induction kit or it may run Rich with that chip. You'd have to talk to Chris at GetGreddy or DTA for one of those though. P.S. The car had done a genuine 112000 miles on that engine. I personally had done 78,000 of those miles. I live in the sticks and its 37mile to work. So no stop start journeys and mostly A and M (motorway) roads.

You aren't keeping it stired up enough if a BMW 330d is pulling away from you. They pull quite strongly but not that strong. My Z is alot quicker than my Volvo even when it was fairly standard, but my Volvo eats these things for breakfast.
  15. Very nice. Where from? How much? will they fit straight on or need spacers? What size inside leg mesurement shoe size etc? :D
  16. I think the round lights look good however like zmaster said they are easy peasy to knock up yourself, but you must have a good housing. ie the stock light pannel. There are loads of different bulb ratings + with the use of a voltage drop switch on you break peddle you can get the LED's to illuminate dimmer for Tail lights and glow full brightness as you break. Stil like the round ones best though
  17. Well I think mines the best
  18. Depends what speed your caught at. If its over a Ton you my regret it as the Royal Canadian Police Force is closely linked to the Met.
  19. Too true the one I plattered with my car was deffinately knackered. When it hit the road behind me leaving its entrails and about a borrow load of undigested grass all over my roof. It was just like a sheepskin rug. What the Exhaust system like. Any good? Is the car any Quicker?
  20. Switch the monitor on mate and stop using brail mode :D I got 5 and it was only when reading that the brain don't procces of that I realise there were any "of's" in the text. What really gets me is if I didn't see any "of's" how did I count 5?  :(
  21. Hey Shaunmac That is so sweet I was only talking about doing this myself the other day. Where do I start? How much do these things cost? etc. I really am interested in doing this.
  22. I thought it was anything parked in chunks shadow. In fact old Chunkster was in Wrexham on Friday and the Eclipse was so great there was a rush on welly's. Next day thousands of knackered sheep littered the hillside and the place was alive with happy singing Welshmen. :D :slap:
  23. :D  nice one
