After 2004's disaterous rebuild and all my paint work scratched and chipped whilst it all took place. I decided to start again and do it properley. It was tight getting it on the trailer, but I'll be driving her home soon. Heads have been skimmed ans the inlets smoothed out ready to be polished. Same going to happen with Exhaust ports. New bronze stem gides should arrive Today or Monday, New uprated head studs, 88mm Silicon coated Westco Pistons, Eagle H beam fordged Rods, Toga racing big ends, nissan Motor sport High flow oil pump + i've had my Garret GT2837RS tubs serviced. So with all my other goodies this time it should be sorted in stead of cowboyed. Phill at C & S woods want to run and test it for a week before I get it back. Then as soon as its run in He wants me to give it a week of pain before a final check over and of to Germany Nurburge here we come Attached Thumbnails __________________

Rear Spoilers - do they work?
I have to say that I'm sure the West wings F40 style spoiler worked well also as that was offered by Nissan as a OEM high spoiler kit in the UK. I remember my neighbour bought a pear Yellow 300ZX in 1990. He to the options pack with the Wings West F40 spoiler and side skirts. It looked awesome. After abour 6 months he got a set of BBS Le Mans wheels And I couldn't wait for the kids to get bigger so I could have one myself.

Best driving song?
So the majoraty of us are head banging petrol heads Have to agree with your choices apart from Anthrax as I like a good powerful vocalist instead of something that sounds like a dog barking over the music.  "Boys of Summer" Awesome

Just how reliable are Z's
Mine was totally reliable for the first 130k miles. At which point If I'd have known what I know now I should have sent it the C & S Woods to sort and it would have cost me about a tenth of what it has thus far cost. Or treated it to several gallons of optimax and a box of matches

VG30DETT Info
Sure I read that before as part of a US magazine feature where there did a lot of tuning work on a Z in the 90's over several months. They started the feature with a history of the engine and why they chosen it above the RB26DETT. Think its on TT.net

God My Right Hand was killing me after:
Hey Neil they are the best alined front wings I've seen in ages. Mine used to line up like that before Kung Fo had it at his Garage for 9 months. thats a very nice sweet looking Z.

ECU Code 55 - Despite 0-60 in 7 secs :(
Look it could be an air leek due to a split pipe, or a knackered Recirc Valve or a whole mirriad of or combination of things. Which is why you should get it checked out by someone who knows their 300's or be prepared for changing loads of stuff before you have a result. Which is not only costly, but very time consuming.

wouldn't coment on why you've got a code 55, but 0 to 60 should be around 5.1 to 5.5 on a standard car.

z update

Hope that lower plenum is well blocked up. Don't want any shit in there or your bores will be fooked. Bodywork is coming along nicely though. What colour you having her. Nice pearl?

My Z accelerating from standstill
I wouldn't decat if you still on original tubs as the Turbo oil seals are 99% likely to go and then thats engine out and that usually means new wiring loom and a shit load of other electrics that have all been baked to death in the engine bay. Still get nice sound just cat back.
