  1. Well there we were yesterday,on our way to visit rele`s and getting pretty irritated because our local tescos was so busy we couldn`t find anywhere to park and made buying fuel impossible too..so off to sainsburys we go on t`other side of town..God just as bad!! Sod it! find a space in the end do our shopping and go to fill up.This is the first time we`ve taken the z out in a long long while due to one thing and another and i was feeling pretty nervous as have just finished getting the car back to a ahem "reliable" condition and dreading anything going wrong,as the passion for my car has been severly tested over the past few years, anyway,go in to pay and on my way out a man with a friendly kinda face say`s.."your car!" Oh bugger! I think,my heart sinks fearing the worst,it`s leaking or something."yes" i reply "well..that 300 was mine..15years ago! just wanted to say it still looks gorgeous! Well i was very flattered, especially after all the blood sweat and tears i`ve endured on my z journey,so i said thanks and went back to the car kind of astounded,he hadn`t seen it for 15 years and as far as i know from the service history was the only person out of it`s 7 previous owners who cared as much about it as i do.Kind of karmic eh! :)
  2. Just tell yer missus your friend looks a bit like Martin..poor bugger won`t stand a chance! oh n mailed you re fender.
  3. Yep easy repair.Tho you have creased the line, personally would replace wing but i`m fussy, bumper shouldn`t be a prob and it`s the washer bottle, empty space and a bracket behind the damaged area so not too bad.Wed would be best for me to have a closer look if you still want me too. Will resend mail so you can contact me if needed.
  4. easypeasy! remove arch liner, bolt under the wing mirror(viewable as you open the door) bolts along top of panel(don`t forget to check under the rubber bits if still there) then finally there`s two nuts where the wing meets the bumper(adjct to the headlight, these can be a bit fiddly n soak em first as can be rusted) and a couple more behind the indicator/jap blank/uk,these are part of a bracket that keeps the bumper flush and secure, shine a light behind from arch area and you`ll see, will need 10mm spanner /wratchet or what have you. Then wiggle..lots..when everybodys stopped laughing return to the car n remove wing.Good luck!

  15. Whatever it is looks like the result of a chemical reaction so my guess is coolant reacting unless someone tried to slow the leak down with some sort of sealer and it`s that.
  16. Yes,i`ve received your list but quite what you want with a vibrating gear knob i don`t know and are you sure you want 2 sets of ankle cuffs?
  17. Hey least it`ll take ya mind off your other ailments!
  18. Noooo! He means wrap em up first so as not to get covered in waxoil or you`ll create a potential flammable risk.Well worth doing inside and out!
  19. that happened to mine too tho i hadn`t primed the inserts first, did this time and so far all good.
  20. Are you doing just the valves or the hoses as well? They should last a long time anyhow.Be prepared for some very tight access issues around the back of the block if replacing it all and you`ll need a deep socket for the valves, there`s a great trick involving sticking a smaller socket inside the deep socket to help put the new valves in,otherwise it can be a pain!
