found it - when he touches the cable on the TPS the idle drops etc sounds like a break in the cable

3rd flash longer than others = Throttle sensor circuit is shorted or disconnected. where do we start looking - ta.

I think he thinks Im winding him up with all the igniotion on ignition off move selector jump up and spin round etc. Anyways hes off to do it now. onyl thing he says is the AT light flashes 16 times when its meant to go off after 2 secs. still Im waiting on a fone call Thanks again pete.

My mate has just got a UK TT Auto. Just test drove it and its lovely apart from......... 1. When you switch the ignition on the yellow light on the right hand side (middle light) comes on - then flashes 16 times. It does this every time you put ignition on - whats this mean? 2. The boost guage, reads 0 on tickover, when you rev it it drops to about -5 then let go and it shoots straight back to 0. When moving it goes upto about 9psi. 3. Its slow, I know the Auto will not be as quick as a manual(:D Stand back and await email assualts) but it is not very quick at all - it feels like theres no turbo kicking in. (and yes it is definately a TT) Any ideas? Cheers

My mate has now just got one of these motors. A UK TT with 120k on the clock. At tickover where as my boost guage sit very low (towards -14), his sits at 0 - bang straight. when he boots it apparently it goes off the boost guage. Any ideas

ok , Ive been told that the jap suspension is the same as the uk without the solenoid? is that right too?

My boot is that heavy to open my missus cant open it - this means I have to keep getting out the car to unload the shopping :( Is it just the 2 hydraulic lifts that need replacing - if so does anybody have any to sell? Cheers

My UK Shocks are gone (methinks), so Im having them replaced with Japs at Zworld. Im also having 40mm lowering springs put on - do you think this is a wise idea?

First thing I'd do is to run a spyware removal utility such as Adaware or Spybot. See how that goes.

Are the GTR33 brakes a straight bolt on - I've heard that only certain wheels will bolt as std on front of zed due to original calipers being very big. Are the GTR33 brakes smaller in size?

when the turbo seal went on my supra it smoked when You accelerate hard up to fairly high speeds so rev counter starts to scream, throttle off, then bang down the accelerator again. This would result in a true James Bond style blanket of smoke being emitted.

How would I find out - bear in mind i've not had the car long and dont know what Im looking for,

If Im running 11psi of boost already and am about to install a HKS EVC3 Boost controller should I somehow work out how to get boost back down to 8psi (standard??) before I fit it? If so where do I start looking?

As far as I understand a BOV and Dump Valve are the same - just spelt differently. A Recirc Valve is what the 300 uses - right? A recirc valve is used because the AFM monitors it - now in the Supra You could get away with a DV upgrade from a recirc as long as you used dual piston DV. Would this apply to the Zed?. If I get 2 DV/BOVs I presume I just replace the recirc valve and block up the recirc intake.
