  1. Cheers Paul, think I'll leave it on for now. I'll have a go with some silicone sealant to temporarily fix it until a high lever or std spoiler comes up for sale.
  2. Does anyone know how the std rear spoiler comes off these cars. If I remove it will the boot have holes or marks in. Im wondering if its bolted on or stuck on as such. The statte its in Id rather have it removed and not have one but if it means an untidy boot I wont bother. Cheers
  3. Cheers mate, I dont think its the best mechanical Zed round, but look swise body seems pretty mint. Im prepared to throw some dosh at it to get it all sorted tho - I thought rather than buy a Z for 5-6k and still probably have to spend - why not goet one for 3.5-4k and throw money at it - that way I know its a done deal
  4. Vijay - Depending on price Im definately up for some indiglo's I just got a UK spec Zed and like the look Please email me with price etc and I'll sort out. Cheers
  5. Hehehehehe:D Picked up me red zed today, skived off work for a few hours and forgot to go back  Its a 92(K) manual with black leather interior (as my sig says). It has a HKS twin exhaust and boost gauge on the r/h/s pillar pod. The boost goes up to 11psi. Is that normal? Its too dark to see if its been decatted, etc so I gotta leave it now while weekend. I knocked the guy down from 4k to 3600 with a 1 year car care plan warranty (parts and labour). I knocked him down for a few reasons. A. The rear spoiler needs replacing. If anyone is selling one and can tell me how to get the old one off and a new one on Im interested. B. The engine sounds VERY SLIGHTLY tappety. Im not sure what they're meant to sound like but my Supra is quieter than this. C. Up to 20 mph there seems to be a noise under acceleration from the passenger side wheel. It sounds like a bearing but disappears the minute you go above 25(ish)mph. Could it be the clutch bearing? It had a new clutch fitted at 76,000. D. Its done 102K miles. Full service history even down to what oil has been used and what date and mileage the guy put it in. Its bloody quick, I thought my Supra Turbo auto was quick but pulling away this thing is like a rocket. Im sleeping with the window open tonight and one ear and eye open. Im in love
  6. ok, as a rough price whats a 60k service gonna cost me? if turbos are on way out - again ROUGHLY how much am I looking at for parts and fitting? Cheers people
  7. Rich, I got the UK 91 Spec. I fancied the Jap import as the 2.5TT is bloody fast. and with a digi dash and removable roof its bloody lovely. If I can find one for the right price I'd even consider one of them as me next car. Just insurance :( though.
  8. Hi all, sorry to be the proverbial pain in the arse here, Im gonna go look at a zed (uk - better be) hopefully this saturday if its still for sale. The Mileage is 108,000. Is this a fairly high mileage - apparently its got lots of receipts and history. Providing it dont smoke etc and the idling is ok (Im gonna re-read the buying FAQ here) Im hopefully gonna be a zed owner and be an even bigger pain in the arse come monday.
  9. I just got told by the AA to check the chassis number, if its less than 16 digits its an import Nice and easy thanks guys
  10. Hi all - just looking at getting a red zed. I got the registration number but all insurers I tried say that cant tell if its an import. The guy selling it says he thinks its a uk model? Is there anywhere I can go as I need to find out asap? Tesco have told me that UK models are all single turbo and all twin turbos are imports??!!?? Cheers
  11. Mk3 Turbo Supra - great car - you just need a chest wig. You can get a banger for about £700 or a clean one (like mine :D ) for about £3000 Power is about 305bhp with current mods.
  12. Cheers Pete, what sort of prices are you paying for insurances? how much did the tracker cost ya? Do you have to subscribe yearly at another cost?
  13. Right guys, Im trying to get insured for an import Z TT. Im 33 - 5years NCB, no points. Driveway at night. no accidents blah de blah How come all the people are telling me its gonna be at least £810 Surely there are some companies out there who will insure imports for less. If I cant find a good quote soon Im gonna have to bite the bullet, pay extra and get a UK model. I cant afford to do classic insurance as you need another car and limited mileage. Tesco want bloody trackers fitted along with CAT 1 alarms. Adrian Flux want an extra £350 a year if the car has a bodykit and different wheels. Im seriously thinking of getting a UK spec one, its just the imports seem to have more mods done to them
  14. Dont worry mate I found it http://www.tetthamilton.co.uk/japanese.html
  15. you got a contact or website for Tett hamilton mate?
  16. None yet mate - I still got me Supra - Im actively looking for a Z now tho'. Shame to see the Supra go tho - great car. Never had a problem with it.
  17. Cheers Chris - knew I had read it somewhere. Its a manual and I gotta wait till next week before I can see it so will check engine number then. After reading somebody else's posts just now looks like the seatbelts will be off the doors??!!?? How the hell does that work? Cheers people.
  18. Hi all, I may be getting an imported 90TT, However I heard somewhere that 90 models may suffer from head gasket problems - is this true? Is there any other things on a 90 I should look out for? Thanks
  19. Norwich Union told me they do NOT insure imports too dont think half of these insurers know their arse from their elbow :D
  20. Just had a look at Liverpool Victoria website for quoting on an import - even though it quotes you the front page STATES CLEARLY they DO NOT insure japanese imports. Basically they will take your money but if oyur involved in an accident, technically you will not be insured. Any comments feel free as Im know unsure who to use as I may be getting an import. I'll wait till someone with a little more knowledge replies. Cheers
  21. Ta, live and learn something new every day. :D
  22. Cheers, I think I posted in wrong forum. I should have put this in help and advice. sorry
  23. Hi all, are the Supra wheels a straight changeover for the 300? I thought offsets were different, I'll have to look at mine on the supra, I know they're 5 stud and I think offset 135? cant remember but will look. just interested coz it means I may be able to swap my wheels across when I get me new mota
  24. Im still looking to buy one but it looks like I need a uk car and NOT an import down to insurance. Tesco (who Im with with my Supra Turbo) wants over £1000 for an import and only £450 for a UK TT. Does anyone know a good insurer for imports? Im 33 - full no claims, shouldnt be a problem
