  4. Andy, your gonna have to move down to Sheffield mate
  5. oops - my english in that last statement is shocking, but you get my drift.
  6. thats something my local mechanics could have a look at - are they easy to replace if they have gone? OR should I take it to get them replaced to any local mechanic or a specialist zed mechanic.
  7. ummm, how do I check them - what do they look like :)
  8. so we couldnt just use a fine mist nozzle on the washer pumps. :(
  9. I have noticed that my front drivers side wheel is rubbing on the splash guard? when turning. That bad that its put a hole in it and I think started to rub on the water washer reservoir. This happened with my original tyres on and its now even worse with my 17's running a 45 profile. Any ideas? My left wheel is close but not touching. I have tried pushing the washer bottle forward through the quiet large hole thats there but it doesnt seem to want to move so is not loose.
  10. nice one Tony, might hold ya to it if not for the conzult, just the tea and biscuits
  11. 2mbps Telewest here - loving it
  12. I leave headlights on all time anyway :) must be the volvo in me breaking out. how much is this system your looking at? Does it really make much difference on a basic modded car .i.e boost jets, chip upgrade, intake and exhaust.
  13. see, problem with that is pounds. Im running out of pounds fast so thought I might try and get a fine mist spray nozzle. soap would not be a prob coz I could always just use water.
  14. Right dont know if this has been done but how about . . . modifying the front light wash to pray directly onto the intercoolers. this way you dont need new pumps, etc I never use the headlight wash so I dont care if thats gone. would it make much difference to speed? would you spray every few seconds when on full throttle?

If you replace the stock wheels with 17" with 45profiles on doe sit gain or lose speed? does it give slightly more top end and less acceleration or vice versa?
  16. hmmm, I wonder how the courts would react - taking the insurers to court for not paying out because an act of God was done by the big man upstairs. Im an atheist too, and never could get my head round this clause.
  17. Finally, got my car sorted. 3 Months off breaking down with an intermittant fault. The fuel temp sensor was a red herring causing thrown in. This was bypassed, and in the end it turned out to be the AFM. As it was slowly breaking down and not faulty it would still rev above 2500rpm. I replaced afm with one I got from Jeff and car now runs beautifully. Many thanks to all those who helped. 3 names really stick out - AndyDuff, John Dixon and Lymon Thanks again :p

  21. John - is that on the engine - by - numbers in the FAQ
  22. have mate - replaced the connector too
  23. John, any idea on where to T the boost gauge then?
  24. John, looking at the diagram then if I put the "green" piping in on mine is that all I have to do - do you think this would cure the problem for an error code 42. Im running higher boost.
