  1. welcome to the club!
  2. Do these have to be red? I'd like to change mine to clear or smoked. These are the ones at the sides of the car - not the ones on the rear lights. do they have to light up or is that only in certain countries?
  3. right then it's all done and dusted and back in. i think it really transforms the look of the car  . it's a shame that it doesnt match the blue of the seats - i ordered the seat kit about 2 years before the card trim and from a different supplier. never mind looks heaps better than tweed :hurl: (oh and don't worry the steering wheel is actually over hard right!)
  4. economy, lol!? the only 2 ways you can go below stock boost of 9.5psi is either a) balls something up under the bonnet to make the ECU throw a code and go into safety boost (7psi), or b) deliberately create a leak somewhere what does the boost gauge say when you're on full boost? (and does the gauge go up to 7 or 14?) if youre not making full boost (full boost meaing the reading goes almost all the way to the right) then it could be either of the above causes, or perhaps a seized turbo. does it have dump valves fitted? any modifications?
  5. Happy Birthday! :duffer:
  6. Happy Birthday matey! :duffer:
  7. i'm 33 1989 JDM TT Z 2008 Civic
  8. a workmate spotted you yesterday. Ferrari rear light conversion as well?
  9. i agree - although i think it's a bit brave to try and pay it all off in just 5 years! i was quite surprised there was a "video game tax relief"!! it was a tax relief for games developers over here in the UK.
  10. Happy Birthday! :hyper: :hyper:
  11. same from me I'm afraid - good work on them though and as long as you're happy with them!
  12. ah oh s**t ive reread that and it looks like that was directed at daveb1971 - I was actually talking to and slapping myself. Sorry daveb1971 if you took that the wrong way (suit you sir) :o
  13. Well after spending all day a few weeks ago sorting out insurance for both the Z and the Civic and saving £300, the Z flew through the MOT (thanks Jeff) just advisory on the sills, and the interior's nearly all back in after the messing about I did trying to do it myself and then speaking to trimmers and trying to get the best quality job. I really ought to spend some time just driving and enjoying it, but I'm already thinking about the next things to do: deffo want to get 99-spec rear lights and reflectors. oh and I need to get my fog-light ducts painted and fitted. and my one-piece prop installed. and... ...just got to put some V-Power in and dilute it back up because on the way back from ZedWorld I was nearly out of petrol and the only station I passed was an Esso so I had to crawl home with £15-worth of mineral water contaminating my tank :xxx:
  14. well i picked the panels up last Monday - the guys at Auto Trim Leicester did a splendid job (I got my money's worth put it that way!) - collected the Z from ZedWorld today after they did a few tweaks and I spent the afternoon putting it all back in. Got everything done except the doors and steering wheel panel (need to splice some wires up first) - looking good so far but the blue of the cards doesn't match the blue of the seats but I knew it never would. Still, that's another job nearly over and done with.
  15. Sorted by Jeff - cheers mate. I no longer need to use pliers to tilt my passenger seat forward
  16. Si'll be waking up with a cold sweat for the rest of next week! almost totally stock interior/steering wheel though
  17. sorry to hear that mate :( glad at least they didnt get the Z.
  18. so do aftermarket exhausts and aftermarket alloys but that doesn't stop a large proportion of Z owners (and owners of other 'respectable' imports) fitting them. i think it's a matter of it's not what you've got it's what you do with it that counts (!). donutting in McD's carpark and dumping your valves will make you a ricer forever, but installing them just because that's what you want to do doesn't make you a chav. as for the drop in performance/poor running, yes i understand the momentary over-fuelling, yes i understand the lost pressure, but have I physically noticed poor running or drop in performance over the past few years? hell no :hyper: do i care that if i was to do 100 runs with BOVs and 100 runs without BOVs under exactly the same circumstances and the 100 runs without BOVs were a tiny bit quicker would I care? hell no :hyper: just my opinion of course!
  19. nice to meet you both too - Rich I hope you enjoyed my occasional dyslexic moments when I asked you if they were working on your car while we were actually standing next to it and had been talking about it for the past half hour!
  20. might see you there Rich :)
  21. welcome back Daz! :duffer: hope you get yourself settled soon
  22. what a s**t game :slap: they simply could not be bothered to wear themselves out, why should they, theyve got themselves a nice holiday in S. Africa at the fan's expense. if they can't be bothered to play, the fans shouldn't be bothered to tune in and watch them
  23. awesome mate  how gutted if a lorry hit that lot in one go!
  24. i dont like it how he somehow makes it out its Britain's fault, as opposed to this one company's fault. but then again the yanks always like to have one up on their motherland don't they ;)
  25.   time to knock out some 'zangle mcdangleberry' decals!
