I usually put the traction on hold in the wet Chris. Seems to help a lot (Or if i'm low on petrol :rolleyes: )

do you need to have one MAF on each cone then? where do they both plug into if you don't have a S-AFC?

as Andy says, its almost definately the AIV. I've had this problem for ages and haven't got round to fixing it - things like MOTs keep my attention away!

apart from the stuff already mentioned above, my only only gripe with the car is that the visibility from the driver's seat isn't amazing - sometimes you need to look over both shoulders a lot... ... only just to see who you've thrashed off the lights! ;) buy one.

so the smaller the tips the bigger the boost? ive got myself an aftermarket gauge to cope with the bigger boost but not been fitted yet!

TBH i've no idea what went in - i didnt even know how many go in the engine :confused: (master mechanic here!) but i got four back from Jeff - they all look used, well at least two of them do. They say, 1-0.040 (x2) and 0.6 (x2). Does this mean anything to you???

Don't know which one you mean mate but I got one of the JWT chip + jets from eBay for £80 odd and am well pleased with it. Not been dyno-tested so cant vouch for the 60 horses, but bruddy feels like it!!! :)

least im in a 24k job tho! phew! ;) its the feekin petrol that slows payments down!!!

ah thanks folks. cleared that up anyway. he goes on about his punto having higher boost. i just ask him for a race and then he shuts up :hyper:

sorry to hijack but my mate just got a Punto GT Turbo. The boost gauge goes up to 1.4, now is that 1.4 PSI as in a little extra nudge of power, or is it 1.4 bar as in more powerful boost than 2 ZXs put together!!?!!?? anyone know?!?

They don't call it the Fairlady in the US as it sounds too poncy (to some, not me) so they just call it a "Turbo Zeeee" and shove another 20 BHP under the bonnet.
